We are absolutely blown away by the aroha and support shown at Hittaz for Hospice.

Huge thanks to Jah Hittaz and everyone who showed up for Hittaz for Hospice - from the cars to the gold coins to the behind-the-scenes mahi.

From the very beginning, we had a vision — not everyone could see it, but we believed in it. A kaupapa grounded in aroha for our whānau, bringing our community together, mixed with that Hittaz passion for cars.

And honestly… look what we achieved together ❤️

Our biggest mihi goes out to you — our people, our community. Because of you, Hittaz for Hospice raised an incredible $9,952!!

You showed us that the heart of this kaupapa has always been the people. The whānau. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

Ngā mihi nui to everyone who registered, those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, and every single person who came through the gates and gave what they could. Your generosity means we can continue supporting our community with free palliative care when it’s needed most.

A small appliance.
A big difference. 💛

Huge thank you to Haier NZ for generously donating a new dishwasher for our Hospice Whanganui staff room.

Our team works incredibly hard supporting patients and whānau every day. Having reliable, practical equipment in shared spaces helps create a comfortable environment where staff can take a well-earned break and recharge.

We’re so grateful for the kindness and community spirit shown by Haier NZ.

Behind every moment of care is a team that plans, reflects - and occasionally picks up a bowls ball.

Last year, our clinical team gathered for an annual planning day at Laird Park Bowling Club. Together, they reflected on the year gone by, set goals for the future, strengthened cultural competency, and committed to continued professional growth.

Just as importantly, they made space to connect - sharing conversation, laughter, and yes, a friendly game of bowls.

Because caring for others starts with caring for each other.
