Sehat ka Safar is set to reach nearly 1.4 million people, advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights for women and adolescent girls in some of the most underserved communities. Funded by Global Affairs Canada and UNFPA, and implemented by Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan.

The UNFPA, Aga Khan Foundation, and Aga Khan Health Services, Pakistan team conducted a joint visit to health facilities in Gilgit-Baltistan, reaffirming a shared commitment to quality services, stronger coordination, and sustained government–partner collaboration. The team also held productive meetings with the Secretary Health, Department of Health; Secretary Population Welfare, Social Welfare, Youth Affairs and Women Development Department; Director General Health; Director Health, Baltistan Region; and other key stakeholders to further strengthen coordination and implementation of project interventions.

AKHS,P conducted outreach medical camps in remote and climate-vulnerable communities of Diamer and Astore, providing essential healthcare services to communities in need.

Organized in collaboration with the Department of Health, the camps offered free medical consultations, basic health services, awareness sessions, and free medicines funded by Global Affairs Canada.

Each camp benefited over 200 individuals, including women, children, and the elderly, ensuring access to vital healthcare in hard-to-reach areas.

Proud to share that AKHS,P dental staff across Pakistan have been certified in clear aligner orthodontic treatment by ISmile Aligners.

Held in Karachi, the training was attended by 19 dentists, who are now equipped to provide expert orthodontic care using I Smile Aligners at our centres.
