Try this when you feel a bit “off” and can’t explain why:

• Rub your palms together until they feel warm
• Cup your hands over your ears and listen for a few slow breaths
• When you’re ready to move on, gently squeeze the ear lobes
• Glide your fingers up the outside rim of the ear from the lobe to the top where it meets the face
• Massage around the whole of the ear in slow, easy movements
• Don't forget slow long breaths as you work around the ears - one at a time or both together.

Many people say they feel a little more settled afterwards.
This kind of simple, gentle work is woven into my treatments to support relaxation and give the body space to unwind.

If you’d like to try a session, you’re welcome to book in. WhatsApp or email

Warm wishes, Karen x

MIND WELLBEING DAYcom

Yesterday’s Doncaster Chamber event supported the charity Mind Wellbeing CIC.
Founder, Hannah Dunn, spoke about how powerful language was when she herself experienced a crisis point, and how the phrase ‘mental’ health brought feelings of shame, fear and hopelessness.

She went on to explain how at mindwellbeingcic.com they are leading a campaign for ourselves, and importantly, for our future generations, to promote healthy language around mind wellbeing.

Words have great power and even the well used phrase ‘mental health’ has negative connotations around it.
Children at school continue to use negative wording, and part of the campaign is to go into schools to educate and bring a new perspective to our future generations.

Rephrasing the term mental health into mind wellbeing is a key aspect at the charity to improve understanding of our feelings, to bring an ability to communicate them, and to connect with how language plays a huge role about what we say to ourselves, as well as to others.

The campaign centres around 'Change our words - Change our world’.

On World Mental Health Day, let's re-phrase and talk about Mind Wellbeing.

Visit mindwellbeingcic.com for more information.

Edit - Sorry Eliot, I forgot the mid post magic hook! ...

Phew! First blog done!

Spent the morning learning some new , and scary, skills at the Doncaster Chamber Marketing Event.
We had an inspiring line-up of speakers:
Ghali (Example Marketing)
Hallam (Yorkshire Adoption Agency)
Smith (Seven Studios)(who’s determined to get us all making videos — I’m getting there, Jordan, honestly!)
Redfern (Twenty Four IT Services)
Blatherwick (thanks for 'making me do this Adrian!').

The afternoon was all about the blog, dog walking, and reading up on ear seed protocols.

World Mental Health Day 2025 offers us such a powerful reminder that none of us are alone in how we feel.

Sometimes we look fine on the outside — smiling, chatting, keeping busy — yet inside, things feel very different.

Our appearance can be deceptive.

We might seem calm, bright, and capable, but underneath there may be tiredness, tension, or worries quietly building.

That’s why it’s so important to make space for what’s really going on beneath the surface.

Moments of stillness, deep breathing, or gentle treatments like reflexology can help us reconnect with ourselves.

Find your voice:
This week, give yourself permission to pause and listen to what your body and mind are trying to say.
Your voice matters - talk to yourself with care and kindness.

Lean on others:
We’re not meant to do everything alone.
Sometimes the hardest thing we can do is to reach out — to ask for help, to share a moment, or to let someone simply be there beside us.

Restore your balance.
Balance doesn’t mean being perfectly calm all the time; it’s about finding your centre again after the world has pulled you off course. Small, mindful moments can make all the difference.

You never really know what someone else is carrying.
It’s often the calmest faces that hold the deepest stories.

''A quiet mind becomes the body’s greatest healer.” anon

Allow your mind to find calm and comfort with reflexology.

Allow your body to heal with the power of your mind.

Reflexology, whether via feet, hands, face or ears, is known for bringing deep relaxation, soothing our inner soul, and so follows improvements in sleep, well being, and our ability to heal from within.

Working from ancient Chinese principles, as a reflexologist, I work with a map of the body, like the one shown in the image.

I also work with meridians and acupressure points which are well documented to bring significant benefits to many clients.

I work with clients through feet, hands, scalp, head, ears - or a combination of these. Ear seeding is also offered.

I'm here to support your well being journey. Drop me a message when you are ready to get on your path to find elusive calmness.
