Unfortunately, the information point at the Nailsea TalkingPoint bench has been damaged. The lectern used to display crisis and support numbers for anyone feeling isolated or struggling with their mental health.

We hope to have new signs and information in place soon. In the meantime we have attached our support page for anyone struggling

Are you lost at sea?
Where is your port in a storm?
What flag would your boat be flying?

We've been supporting our ever-growing mental health lived experience peer community for over 6 years.
Our discussions have grown and evolved with feedback from those we support to keep our discussions as varied, inventive and creative as possible. To keep some elements of fun, as well as allowing space for insight and offload. Space for those in the group to express how they are feeling consciously or unconsciously- to be heard and validated.
Our Thinking Out Loud groups have kindly been supported by Quartet Community Foundation to provide peer-driven support
If you were on a vessel at sea what would it be? What is your lighthouse? What's your guiding light? What would your vessel be called?
Is the sea calm? What are the rocks you're trying to navigate? Where is your port in a storm?

Useful to know....

Strut Safe operates a UK-wide phone line for those out alone at night. The phone line is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm to 3am and Sundays from 7pm to 1am.

We support an ever-growing mental health lived experience peer community with such a range of backgrounds and pasts. Many have been in those dark places and come through and are here....surviving, achieving, maintaining, thriving- finding moments of joy and contentment in their lives they may never have accessed. And threading these together to find a way through.

Trauma, work, systems, relationships, services, society...life itself
can all stretch us to breaking point
The way we were can no longer feel like who we are
The sense of injustice and invalidation can leave us trying to get back to where we were and frustrated by our own efforts and a lack of support to do so.
Life scars us mentally and physically and can leave us feeling a long way from home.
You have made it this far. You may not have found the ideal way forward. You may feel like you don't know what the way forward looks like. Or you may know the way forward but are just finding that part of the journey incredibly hard.
Always remember you are still here. What has happened to you and around you has hurt you, but you are not beaten. You are not broken.
You are a work in progress

In between the rainy days, we managed to find a dry few hours to do a little further garden maintenance on our garden space- including a spring clean and running repairs to the 3 existing bird boxes.
It's an amazing space for our peer community to get involved in nature, enjoy being outdoors in a safe space and watch things growing! Bulbs planted are already coming through. And all the cut back herbs are bursting back into life.
