Curative Services i.e., Services at UHPC
A) OPD:
- The clinic is open from 9 am to 4 pm, with doctor’s consultancy available from 10 am to 2 pm.
- OPD consultation is done by MDGP who provide complete care ranging from prevention to management of disease condition.
- Communicable and non-communicable diseases are treated. For any instance, patients who cannot be treated at our center will be refe
rred to higher facilities without any delay. B) Procedure:
Outpatient procedures like suturing, dressing, post-operative care etc. C) X-ray and lab services:
- Digital X-ray (Chest and other parts of the body)
- Pathology laboratory at an affordable price for all routine screening tests to
specialized tests with accurate results. D) Pharmacy:
- We provide inhouse pharmacy at costs lower than market price; services available
for at least 12 hours a day. Community Health Services and public health:
Community Health Nurses visit individual’s doorsteps for promotion of clean water
and sanitation, healthy lifestyle, disease/ condition screening, counseling, and
referral to health facilities as needed. Service will be provided in different phases:
A) Baseline survey: In this phase, the household, family, and individuals residing in Kathmandu ward no.30 will be registered, followed by information collection about their health status. B) Care implementation: Based on the burden of disease identified during the baseline survey, programs for continuous care for specific groups of people at their doorsteps will be developed. E.g., Non-communicable disease, Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health, Family Planning, Mental Health, and elderly care. Even before the completion of the baseline survey, identified individuals with diabetes, hypertension, etc, will be provided counseling and required care in their households.
3. Health Promotion:
- Education concerning health problems and methods for prevention and control,
counseling regarding disease condition and treatment
A) Health Education
Education concerning health problems and methods for prevention and control will
be held at our center on a regular interval, where the general public/ patients will
be communicating with their treating doctor and nurses. B) Information, Education, and Communication
Identifying the prevailing health issues in the community. Our public health focal
person will initiate a multidisciplinary and client-centered approach to inform,
motivate and help people to adopt and maintain healthy practices by using
techniques to spread the knowledge on disease prevention and health promotion. C) Public awareness
4. Surveillance:
- Monitor and control the infectious disease among residents of ward no. 30.
- Detect outbreaks of these diseases in a timely manner.
- Characterize a person at greater risk for those diseases.
