: Aged care provider Carinity has confirmed one its workers at a facility at Laidley, west of Brisbane, has tested positive for COVID-19.

It said the staff member from the Karinya Place aged care home is currently in quarantine at home and did not work while experiencing any symptoms.

Carinity said a resident and a small number of staff who were in contact with the infected person are now self-isolating as a precaution.
