Happy Birthday, sweet babe! 💕

This little one’s family participated in our Collaborative Care program, meaning they received prenatal care with our midwives at Alabama Birth Center while planning for a hospital birth with our physician partners. They even connected & were supported by an ABC doula!

We love being able to support families with the midwifery model of care in a variety of birth settings.

The Fourth Trimester Support Circle is welcoming a special guest speaker, Kendall Hampton, founder of Rested Families, LLC. Kendall is a Child Development Specialist and Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant who helps families build healthy sleep habits and move from surviving to thriving.

If you’re navigating newborn sleep, nighttime wake-ups, or just need support during the postpartum season, this will be a wonderful conversation you won’t want to miss.

Granny Midwives practiced care where people lived.

They showed up in kitchens and bedrooms, cabins and farmhouses. They walked dirt roads at night and cared for entire families—not systems.

This is what community-based care looked like long before it had a name.

Tomorrow, we’ll talk about what happened when this care was pushed out, and why that matters.
