De laatste weken voelt mijn lichaam zo moe.
En eerlijk?
Een deel daarvan is gewoon fysiek:
Ziek zijn. Herstellen. Rust nodig hebben.

Maar er zit nog iets onder:
Mijn lichaam dat te spreekt.
Mijn psoas.
Mijn sacrum.
Mijn schouders.
Alsof het zegt:
“Ik wil dit niet meer alleen dragen.”

En dat raakt iets diepers.
Want sinds de dood van mijn papa, nu zo'n 38 jaar geleden…
heb ik geleerd om sterk te zijn.
Om door te gaan.
Om het alleen te dragen.
Niet omdat ik dat wilde.
Maar omdat het zo voelde.

En nu…
zoveel jaren later…
zegt mijn lichaam:
“Het hoeft niet meer alleen.”

Misschien voel jij dat ook wel.
Dat je al zo lang draagt.
Zonder echt te leunen.
Misschien is dit jouw herinnering vandaag:
"Je hoeft het niet alleen te doen."

something opened.
Not all at once.
Not loudly.
But softly.
Gently.
In its own time.

It’s been a few days since the Rebalance Day…
and what touches me most is
how it continues to unfold.
The softness.
The space.
The quiet shifts.

Sometimes, we don’t need more doing.
We just need a place where we can open again.

How I prepare for a Rebalance Day…
By slowing down.
By stepping into nature.
By listening.
Barefoot on the earth,
feeling what wants to be felt.

Not searching…
but noticing what is already there.
Nature always knows.

She offers exactly what we need,
in this season, in this moment.
Leaves, herbs, quiet gifts
waiting to be seen, to be received.
Gently gathered,
with care and intention…
and brought into the space
as nourishment.

Not just food for the body,
but something deeper.
Something that supports,
softens,
and brings us back home.

This is what I love to share
during my Rebalance Days

What is this equinox asking of you?
Between light and dark
between movement and stillness
between pushing forward and gently pausing
there is an invitation.
To honestly notice where you keep going
while your body has been whispering
to slow down.

Where you give, hold, carry but somewhere
along the way you have left yourself behind
just a little.

And also…
where you might be holding back while something inside you is ready to take up space
to be seen
to move.

The equinox is not asking for more.
It is asking for alignment.

For a softer listening.
Where can it feel lighter?
Where can it be quieter?
Where can balance return?

Maybe it’s not a big shift.

It’s easy to keep going.
It’s much harder to stop abandoning yourself.

It’s easy to look away.
It’s easy to keep going, to stay busy.
To let life run on autopilot.

It’s easy to ignore the signals.
The fatigue.
The tension.
The quiet pain your body keeps whispering.
It’s easy to say:
“I’ll deal with it later.”

Because stopping takes courage.
Stopping means you might have to look at something deeper.

The truth we often don’t want to see
is that many of our patterns didn’t start with us.
They were shaped by what happened to us.
By what we learned about love, safety, belonging.

Our bodies adapt.
They build protection.
Layer after layer.
And it’s easy to add another one.
To push through.
To keep up with the pace of the world.

But underneath all those layers
something in you keeps waiting.
Your deepest truth.
And your deepest truth has a quiet way
of catching up with you.
Not to punish you.
But to invite you back.
Back to yourself.

Sometimes all we need is a moment
to stop running.
A moment to breathe.
To feel.
To come back to ourselves.

That’s the intention behind the Rebalance Days (Belgium) A gentle pause,
One day in the middle of a busy life.

Maybe right now you’re in that place where you quietly think:
“I don’t know anymore.”
I don’t know what my next step should be.
I don’t know if the direction I’m going still feels right.
I don’t know how to move forward from here.
And that feeling can be uncomfortable.
Because we are taught that we should always know.
Have a plan.
Keep moving forward.
But sometimes that moment of not knowing is exactly where something deeper begins.
It’s the moment where you start to notice that certain things in your life no longer feel aligned.
Certain roles.
Certain expectations.
Certain ways of living.
And the mind immediately wants answers.
But the next step isn’t always clarity.
Sometimes the next step is simply creating space
to listen to that quiet voice within you.
Maybe through journaling.
Maybe through meditation.
Maybe simply by allowing yourself a moment of stillness.
Because time keeps moving.
Another week will pass.
Another month.
Another year.
And that quiet voice within you will keep waiting
until you give it the space to be heard.

Stop blaming your body for speaking louder.
For years it probably whispered.
A little tension.
A bit more fatigue.
That feeling that you should slow down.
Maybe it asked for rest.
Maybe it asked for different food.
Maybe it asked for space.

But life was busy.
You pushed through.
You kept going.
Until the whispers became signals.
And the signals became symptoms.

And suddenly we say:
“Why is my body doing this to me?”

But the body isn’t attacking you.
It’s trying to reach you.

The body always starts with whispers.
Only when we keep ignoring them
does it begin to speak louder.
Not as punishment.
But as protection.
Your body isn’t the problem.
It’s the messenger. And maybe…
it’s just asking you to finally listen.

Sometimes the first step isn’t fixing the body.
It’s learning how to listen to it again.

When your nervous system is overwhelmed,
the smallest things can suddenly feel too much.
You react faster.
You feel triggered more easily.
Your patience becomes shorter.

Not because something is wrong with you,
but because your system is trying to
cope with too much input.

The nervous system has its own way of regulating.
You can see it in toddlers after they’ve cried.
That little sniffing breath the body makes
is actually a natural reset mechanism.

This breath mimics that same response.
Three short inhales through the nose
followed by one long exhale.
Simple.
But powerful for the nervous system.

Try it a few times
and notice what shifts inside.
Your body already knows the way back to balance.
Sometimes it just needs a little reminder.

I was 21 when I lost my dad.
Something in me went into survival that day.
Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
But quietly.
I focused on achieving and kept going.

I spent years living in this survival without knowing it.
From the outside, I was strong.
Capable. Independent.
Doing all the “right” things.
Working hard, Sporting, Mindfullnes. Inner work.
But underneath…
my body never truly felt safe.

And when a body doesn’t feel safe,
it keeps performing strength
instead of resting in it.
Until one day,
the body asks you to stop.
Not as punishment.
But as protection.

What I know now is this:
Before healing,
before purpose,
before stepping into your power,
the nervous system needs safety.

Real strength isn’t pushing through.
It’s softening without fear.
That is the work I guide women into.
Not more doing.
But coming home.
