Why track new and full moons? 🌑 🌕
Chinese Medicine and Āyurveda see certain actions as being especially helpful to our health at particular moon phases.
In Chinese Medicine, there’s a practice of using Moxibustion (a form of heat therapy) following the new moon to help us build our vitality and give us an energy boost as the moon grows again.
This practice is especially potent for those of us (ahem 🙋🏼♀️) who have used a great deal of Yang energy in creating and sustaining human beings.
Full moons are a great time to embrace the energy of the moon with ghee making and I recommend leaning into abhyanga, ayurvedic oil massage, to help you stay grounded and juicy.
I find following the moon to be especially rewarding and grounding when your internal moon cycle has ceased during pregnancy or menopause.
