If you’re considering reengaging with something that used to be harmful to your wellbeing…

Some questions to ask yourself might be:

Did I previously exhaust all options in trying to make [insert habit, relationship, lifestyle etc] work for me

Or

Is there something left to try / has something significantly changed or shifted which means X is a safe option for me now?

As always, its situation/context dependent but this can be helpful for catching out what might just be repeating a pattern all over again

Have you experienced this?

A little reminder today 🌻

Many of our experiences become easier when we accept rather than suppress, and sometimes it’s easier than we think 💛

The body has an unmatched intelligence, and can be a guide to show us signs of what is working for us and what is holding us back.

It takes time, courage and surrender.

Sometimes it means letting people down, or letting go of what you want now in order to have what you want most.

Greater wellbeing, more balance, resilience and moments of calm.

Which one stands out to you most? 🌱

Burn out often comes with the crash…

Where as emotional depletion can feel more subtle and draining…maybe from holding a lot for others, or constantly managing stress without some time to restore

The remedy might be in boundaries and self prioritisation - or it might be in finding ways to balance it

Especially in a world where there so much energy drained from devices, that doesn’t actually satiate our needs for connection…positive and nourishing in-person connections can’t be underestimated

Who is the person or what are the situations that you leave with a full heart and a smile? That is a type of nourishment that doesn’t come from more rest, but from making time for the connections and experiences we need x

I’m sure someone needed to hear this today.

It’s a common conversation I hear - that people feel pushed beyond what they can handle. All for different reasons and all for valid reasons.

Of course we all need to stretch or push past our capacity occasionally (or for the parents out there - often)…

but without giving space to consider our options, we may be overlooking what could alleviate some stress.

This is your permission slip to pause, take a deep breath and tune into yourself.

You’re allowed to have a voice.

This might look like - being honest with yourself and creating a plan or taking action for change.

Or it might simply look like simply expressing in some way what you’re finding hard - that in itself can be revolutionary.

Either way, remember, that on the other side of resistance there can be peace.

We avoid change to keep us safe in the familiar, but sometimes change is what we need to feel safe.

What is your truth? What needs to happen for it to be acknowledged?

♥️♥️

💕 Things have been evolving in beautiful ways behind the scenes, so here’s a little reintroduction…

Why Soul Bloom Wellness?

For me, this is about creating space for others to reconnect with their truth, their path, and their wellbeing, so they not only come back to themselves but also feel more alive.

I know it’s not always easy to do that alone. It can feel hard, tiring, and confusing at times. The right support can make all the difference.

While I love sharing tools, knowledge, and practices to help along the way, what matters is helping you release what’s holding you back and gain clarity on your next step forward.

I’ll always ask thoughtful questions to guide you back to yourself.

Whether you’re here to explore or to connect more, thank you and I hope to support your journey xx

A little poem for healing 💕

Mindfulness - a practice that helps us through challenging life chapters; by connecting to ourselves in the moment, and uncovering the different perspectives we are choosing or can choose to focus on.

One approach can be to bring more awareness to the thoughts that support our wellbeing, rather than deepening the grooves of thoughts that might do the opposite. I wrote about a few strategies to assist in this in a recent blog.

If it interests you to read, the link in my bio will take you there.

Wishing you a week of health, presence, and healing, if you need it x

These might seem pretty basic, but that’s the point.

It’s the little things that we do repetitively that become habits and then our norm; helping rebalance our nervous system by sending messages of safety, spaciousness, capability, trust, relaxation.

Notice which one sticks out to you, and practice coming back to it throughout the day and your week. See if it makes a difference over time ♥️

The other day, a friend was asking advice and said to me, “Life is so busy… like really busy.”
I replied, “Yes, but it’s busy with what you say yes to.”

Of course, there are our non-negotiable commitments — kids, caring for loved ones, work deadlines. But outside of those, much of life is shaped by the things we choose to take on.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the pace of life, check in with yourself:

• Is this something I want to do?
• Do I truly have the time and energy for it?
• What would happen if I didn’t?
• Who would I be if I didn’t?
• How would it feel — relief, lightness, freedom?

Feelings of overwhelming busyness paired with burn out may be connected to many “shoulds” rather than genuine wants. Subtly creating depletion.

If you’re craving a slower pace but feel responsible for everyone else, or even a need to keep doing all the things, notice where you might be afraid to say no — even when saying no would be saying yes to yourself. And notice where you know you should rest, but want to be available and valuable.

Life becomes less busy when we live within our true capacity.
It’s okay to say no.
It’s okay to pause and think about it first.

♥️ If this is you DM me “pause” and I have something for you

I understand if this is daunting, I used to be scared of big emotions. And I'm mentioning it because it's easy to get caught up in the story and not give ourselves space to feel. But the more you allow what's there to surface, the easier it gets.

Reminders for shifting out of the mental loop:

Let go of the story for a moment. Instead, get in touch with the emotions it’s stirring up.
Allow them to move through you, in a way that feels safe to you.

That might mean crying, shaking, screaming into a pillow, or simply noticing and naming the sensations in your body - this one is a great starting point*

Once we connect with what’s beneath, the story tends to quiet down, we make it more about what’s needed for us to go through our own process, to get ourselves back to homeostasis 🫶

We are complex beings and the mind does its best to keep up. To reason, to make it better, to figure it out..but sometimes it’s time to let go of the trying.

Does this bring up anything for you? If something comes to mind, here’s a reflective question -

If you were completely honest with yourself, to be in service of your needs, your health and wellbeing…What needs to happen for this situation to change, and what’s the first step to take, to get you there?

🙏

I don’t know about you, but I can see throughout my life there have been certain patterns and choices of avoiding difficult emotions.

Sometime’s they served me, sometimes they didn’t.

Running used to be one of the healthier strategies, if I felt some stress or big emotion, I’d go for a run

Another tactic was grab a glass of wine…

Or find a way to escape (book a trip, quit the job etc)…

Or even now I notice if I feel inner tension, I crave a coffee as the answer.

They all vary to different degrees of a coping strategy, and not all coping strategies are “unhealthy”. Life is both tough and amazing with many things supporting us through it!

But the thing is, sometimes we need to let our emotions finish their cycle. To let in the difficult ones just like we let in the good.

Otherwise we’re just covering up something to perhaps be expressed later in some other context (cue yelling at someone over nothing but really it’s a build up of unrelated tension).

So here’s a question to reflect on today - what emotion/s am I needing to express and how can I best support myself in doing so?

Leave me a ♥️ if this resonates today

A little about me and what I do...

Hi, I’m Samara.

I work as a personal coach, to help people restore their health and wellbeing.

Some of my journey…

Since I can remember I’ve found myself spending my time learning about health, psychology, and how to improve our experience of life. This has led me to mediation, breathwork, days of silence, buddhism studies, cleanses, researching scientific evidence and years of my related education.
