❄️ Jaunuary and February are our busiest time of year for injuries. So here is some of our advice for training in outdoor winter conditions-
💪 Wear appropriate clothing. Long sleeves and leggings/trousers. The most common injury we see are pulled muscles due to cold temperatures.
💪 Wear appropriate footwear for the conditions.
💪 Ensure you complete a full warm up and stretch pre and post walk/run, this will help to warm your muscles up and avoid injury.
💪 Keep well hydrated, water or isotonic drinks while training can be very beneficial.
💪 Should you become injured whilst training, please stop. Do not push yourself through any pain, as this can make an injury far worse.
