Supporting Young People in the North East
This week we were devastated to learn that Mental Health Aberdeen (MHA) ; a cornerstone charity in our region for over 25 years, has folded with immediate effect. MHA provided free counselling, drop‑in sessions, school workshops, and community outreach to thousands of adults and young people each year.
Their youth programmes in particular offered one‑to‑one mentoring, resilience‑building activities, and crisis support right when it was needed most.
The sudden loss of MHA creates a real gap in mental health provision:
- Waiting lists will grow at other counselling services.
- Schools lose a trusted partner who delivered workshops on self‑esteem, stress management, and peer support.
- Community groups lose a key collaborator for awareness campaigns and safe‑space events.
While Full Colour Coaching is not a counselling or crisis service, we work closely with schools to offer preventative support and early intervention through coaching programmes.
Our work focuses on:
- Helping young people build self-awareness, confidence and emotional resilience.
- Supporting schools to embed wellbeing-focused coaching in their pastoral care.
- Partnering with organisations who want to make a real difference in local education
How can we help?
If you're a parent, teacher or community partner looking to work with us, please get in touch.
Message us or email angie@fullcolour.com for a free chat.
If you're a local business or organisation, your backing will enable us to expand our school outreach, train more coaches, and offer subsidised support for families experiencing hardship; please reach out as we’d love to talk.
Together, we can ensure that no young person in Aberdeen and the wider north‑east is left to face mental health challenges alone.
