Your gut is a detox organ.

Most people think detoxification is only about the liver but your gut plays a critical role in toxin elimination.

After the liver processes toxins through Phase 1 and Phase 2 detox pathways, those toxins are packaged into bile and sent to the gut for elimination. If bile flow is sluggish or bowel movements are inconsistent, toxins can be reabsorbed back into circulation.

This process is called toxin recirculation, and it increases total toxic load in the body.

Gut inflammation makes this worse.

When the intestinal lining is irritated or compromised (often referred to as leaky gut), its ability to bind and remove toxins decreases. Combined with environmental exposure, this can create a cycle of systemic inflammation, hormone disruption, fatigue, and brain fog.

This is why digestive symptoms matter:
• bloating
• constipation
• food sensitivities

They may not just be “gut issues.”
They may be detox pathway dysfunction.

Because your detox capacity is personal
genetics, gut health, liver function, past mold or heavy metal exposure all matter.

Low exposure + weak detox = strong symptoms.

Signs Your Body Is Overloaded 🚨

Tired, foggy, irritable? It may not be “just stress.”
It could be toxic overload.

Modern life exposes us to environmental toxins, endocrine-disrupting chemicals, heavy metals, ultra-processed foods, and chronic stress all of which burden the body’s detox systems.

Common signs of toxic overload include:

• Brain fog and poor memory (neuroinflammation + nervous system stress)
• Hormone imbalance, irregular cycles, mood swings, low libido
• Skin flares, acne, rashes, eczema
• Chronic fatigue and anxiety
• Stubborn weight gain resistant to diet and exercise

Some weeks carry more weight than others.

My heart is with my kids, always - holding space, worrying silently, loving fiercely, and staying present even when the world feels heavy. Motherhood asks for a strength that’s often unseen.

At the same time, I continue the work I feel called to, pushing for a healthier future for our children and future generations. This week, being part of conversations around real nutrition reform - with new USDA guidelines moving into military systems, schools, and prisons - reminded me that change is possible, even when it feels slow.

Trusting God. Staying grounded. Showing up where I’m needed, never forgetting that motherhood comes first.

Honored to attend a MAHA Institute event featuring panel discussions on the future of the National Institutes of Health with Dr. Jay Bhattacharya.

There is real momentum right now - historic shifts that could change the trajectory of public health in this country. Transparency, scientific integrity, and open dialogue are finally on the table in ways we’ve never seen before.

And still… there is so much more to do.

Many conversations remain - especially around vaccines, cancer, chronic disease, and the systems that have failed to ask hard questions for far too long.

Equally meaningful was reconnecting a fellow health freedom advocate. After 5+ years, I finally met in real life. We connected during the very early days of the pandemic through health freedom advocacy, and following her journey since then has been nothing short of inspiring. Being able to finally give her a big hug after all these years was incredibly special as we continue this work.

Progress doesn’t come from silence or compliance.
It comes from courage, truth, and the willingness to challenge the status quo.

Grateful to be in the room and deeply committed to continuing these conversations.
