This Nurses Appreciation Week, we proudly honor the dedicated federal nurses who serve our nation every single day.

From the VA to the DHA and federal medical facilities across the DMV area, your compassion, resilience, and commitment make a difference in the lives of countless patients and families. 💙

Thank you for the long shifts, the sacrifices, the care you provide under pressure, and the strength you bring to every patient interaction. Your service goes far beyond medicine — it’s service to our country.

To all federal nurses:

We see you.
We appreciate you.
And we thank you for everything you do. 👏

“Compassion. Commitment. Country.”

A lot of injured federal workers hear about the CA-16 after it is already too late to matter.
That is the problem.
This form can make a major difference early on, especially when it comes to medical treatment and avoiding out-of-pocket stress.
The workers who know earlier usually have a better shot at getting the right help sooner.
👉 Send this to a coworker who needs to know this before they ever need it.

When we say our mission is simple, we mean it.
We want to help federal employees across the country get the care, support, and claim approvals they deserve after a workplace injury. That’s the heart behind everything we do at Federal Injury Centers.
For us, it all comes back to one thing… no more denied claims.
Because when a claim gets denied, it’s not just paperwork. It affects someone’s income, family, treatment, and future. That’s exactly why we’re building this mission with urgency.
If you’re a federal employee, a provider, or someone who cares about supporting the federal workforce, you’re in the right place.

A lot of federal workers think only sudden injuries count.

That is not true.

Some of the most serious problems build over years: knees, hips, shoulders, backs, repetitive strain.

And too many people keep working through pain because nobody told them those injuries may still matter.

Know someone who has been “just dealing with it” for years? Share this with them.

OWCP can be frustrating, but giving up is often the biggest mistake an injured federal worker can make.
We have seen claims get approved after years of delays because the person stayed persistent, kept going, and got the right help.

If you are navigating a federal work injury claim, keep moving forward. Federal Injury Centers is here to help you through the process with care, direction, and experience that matters.

Save this post, share it with a federal employee, and follow for more OWCP support and education.

A lot of problems start in the first few days after an injury.

Not because the injury is not real.

Not because the worker does not need help.

But because they are told the wrong thing… or do not know what to do next.

If you’re a federal worker, these basics matter more than most people realize.

One of the biggest problems in the federal injury world is not just denied claims.

It is the claims that never even get started.

Why?

Because people do not know what to do, they are scared of management, or they have already been told the wrong thing by the time they start asking questions.

“The only way to truly fail is to never try.”

A lot of federal workers stay stuck because they’re overwhelmed, discouraged, or afraid of being told no.

But doing nothing is often what costs people the most.

Asking questions, learning your rights, and taking the first step can change the outcome more than you think.

Even if the process feels confusing, starting is better than staying silent.

You do not have to have everything figured out to begin.

If you’ve been putting it off, let this be your sign to take the first step. 💙

One of the worst things an injured worker can do is assume the window has closed just because someone told them the wrong deadline.

Yes, timing matters.

But “you waited, so now you’re out of options” is not always true.

We hear from federal workers all the time who thought it was too late when it wasn’t.

If you are unsure, do not self-disqualify. Get clear on your options first.
