On Remembrance Day,
🙏 We honour our veterans and acknowledge and thank them for their extraordinary service on behalf of all Canadians.

Our military members put service before self, and many have made the ultimate sacrifice.
🇨🇦 We are also deeply grateful to the Canadian Armed Forces members deployed at home and around the world.

🪖 Many veterans live with a range of conditions related to their service, and osteopathy may be helpful in alleviating pain, enhancing physical function, and improving quality of life.

Common conditions that can benefit from osteopathic treatment include:

💥 Back pain
💆‍♂️ Neck pain
🤕 Headaches
🦵Arthritis
🚽 Digestive issues
🦴 Postural problems
🩼 Injuries to joints, muscles, or other musculoskeletal structures

Last month we held various gatherings across BC for OsteopathyBC members to get together and celebrate OBC's 20th anniversary 🎉.

Members enjoyed connecting over lunch, a few rounds of trivia and each location was connected virtually to one another.

The celebration included learning about OsteopathyBC's history, highlighting accomplishments and sharing visions for the future of osteopathy in British Columbia.

🌍️ September 17th is World Patient Safety Day, which is a campaign put on by the World Health Organization. This year's slogan is “Patient safety from the start!”

Every child has the right to safe, quality health care — from the very beginning.

Children aren’t small adults. They require individualized safe care. Qualified osteopathic practitioners deliver care that is safe and child-centered.

Children need care that fits them—their age, weight, developmental stage, medical needs, ability to communicate and specific context.

Pediatric osteopathy can help babies and children by using gentle, hands-on techniques to restore balance and mobility in the body's tissues and musculoskeletal system, supporting overall well-being and development. It addresses issues stemming from birth trauma, falls, and everyday strains, and can help with digestive problems like colic and reflux, sleep disturbances, respiratory issues, and postural problems. Osteopathic care can also aid in motor development and relieve tension, ultimately promoting a healthier and happier child.
