This isn’t just a breathwork session.

It’s a sensory & sonic journey through the natural elements; Air, Water, Fire and Earth.

Guided by breath, sound and presence.

Where each element invites you to release, restore and remember your natural rhythm.

Pneuma.
Where stillness meets sound, and you meet yourself.

We look forward to welcoming you to an event soon.

“I’m full of this beauty that is breath. Breath is life.” - Eileen Kramer

Dancer, artist, performer, choreographer and supercentenarian.

With all the heaviness in the world, learning about this incredible woman today was the breath of fresh air I needed.

I’ll share some links in my story.

Enjoy this change in pace.

Endometriosis affects roughly 10% of reproductive age women and girls worldwide, with estimating that the condition impacts 1 in 7 here in Australia (WHO, AIHW 2023).

For the past 6 months I’ve been working with School of Biomedicine on a pilot study involving a combination of breathing exercises and cold-water immersion as a novel, drug-free method to treat endometriosis pain.

The final recruitment phase closes in 2 weeks, so if you or someone you know has an endometriosis diagnosis, and you’d like to play a crucial role in helping improve the understanding and treatment of this incredibly debilitating condition, you’ll find the registration details in my bio.

The breath is universal 🌏

In this time of disharmony and disconnection, guiding today’s breathwork session, with someone where English is their second language, was a beautiful reminder that we’re all human, and doing our best with the tools we have, together on this spinning ball.

Feeling deeply grateful—another Retreat: Into Nature is officially sold out.
And once again, I’m heading back to the raw beauty of Kangaroo Island.

This time around, Amy and I took a bold step.
We redesigned the program from the ground up—with the intention of creating something even more powerful.
A space where real change feels within reach, where growth happens naturally, and where each person feels fully supported in their own way.

Breathwork sits at the centre of it all—guided, intentional, and deeply moving.
Alongside the breath, we work with heat, cold, movement and sound—each playing a key role in helping the body release, reset, and reconnect.

We’ve chosen four distinct breathwork styles, each bringing something unique to the table—each one helping to create that inner shift we’re all looking for.

And of course, all of this is held by the magic that is Kangaroo Island—wild, grounding, and quietly awe-inspiring.

Now it’s time for me to step away for a bit… to slow down, breathe deep, and reconnect with the natural rhythm of things.

Catch you on the other side 🌿✨

Tension is sneaky. It builds in the body, silent, unseen, gradual—shoulders tightening, jaw tensing, breath shallowing.

We carry it unconsciously, often mistaking its weight for necessity, as if holding on gives us control.

But what if the power isn’t in the holding, but in the release?

Relaxation isn’t something we do—it’s what remains when tension dissolves. It’s not just an absence of stress; it’s a return to something deeper.

Breath is the key.

Each inhale gathers, each exhale surrenders.

When we breathe consciously, we give our bodies permission to soften, to unravel, to trust. And in that trust, we reconnect with our inner wisdom.

What would happen if you let go—fully, completely?

Pause. Inhale deep. Exhale slow. Repeat.

Feeling the call (or the need) to slow down, soften the body & quiet the mind? 🫁🧘🧠

Join me at Pneuma for an evening of signature breathwork & soothing soundscapes.

One of the most common sensations in breathwork is tetany—involuntary muscle contractions in the hands.

Or, as we in the biz like to call them… gang signs. ✌️😂

Here’s what’s really happening: Intense, prolonged breathing drops CO2 levels, raises pH, and increases calcium reabsorption—causing muscle neurons to fire spontaneously.

Tetany isn’t a badge of honor.
It’s not a sign of a “good session” or “stuck energy” (or any other wellness buzzword).

It’s your body telling you you’re exhaling too forcefully.

The fix? Soften your exhale.
Relax your diaphragm. Let the air escape naturally—don’t force it.

Too often, people chase big physical sensations and miss the deeper, quieter shifts unfolding beneath the surface.

Don’t be that person.

Listen. Tune in. The deeper parts of you have some really good things to say. ❤️
