Contract: 12 month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is a 36 bed centre providing specialist person-centred rehabilitation, care and support for adults with either a brain injury or other complex neurological condition. We provide comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy and specialise in the treatment of patients with a primary cognitive or behavioural impairment resulting from a brain injury or other neurological condition.

We are looking for a full time Clinical Administrator to provide effective and efficient administrative and secretarial support to the medical, nursing and multi-disciplinary teams. To work as a member of the administration team supporting the smooth running of the department.

Key Accountabilities:

* Organise relevant clinical meetings
* Provide administrative and secretarial support to all departments
* Prepare and produce unit reports
* Administration of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act as required
* On-going development of the hospital’s administrative systems

Skills & Experience:
* Good level of education (inc Maths and English)
* Excellent knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, Outlook and Excel
* Excellent organisational skills
* Effective communication skills
* Clinical administration/medical secretarial experience desirable
* Ability to work to deadlines

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm with an unpaid 30 minute break.

The salary ranges from £19,734 to £20,845.50 per annum and is based on experience.

Granville Lodge, part of the Huntercombe Group is a 9 bedded residential home close to the centre of Hartlepool for children and young people who require a high level of specialist care due to physical and learning disabilities due to conditions such as Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy.

We also welcome Children and Young People who stay with us for short breaks to provide respite. We are recruiting a Team Leader to support the Deputy and Registered Manager in the running of the home via shift leading and to ensure that all quality standards are maintained and we comply at all times with OFSTED regulations.
To be considered for this opportunity you must have:
• Relevant experience working within a care role, ideally within a Learning Disabilities/PMLD environment.
• Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare or Children’s Workforce (or equivalent)
• Experience of leading, coaching and mentoring a team and ensuring that relevant Codes of Conduct are upheld.
• Competent IT skills, mainly MS Office

The team leader will work between 22.5 and 37.5 hours per week on a rota to include weekends and due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required to ensure that the home runs smoothly and safely. The exact working pattern will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Huntercombe Hospital Stafford is a CAMHS unit for children and young people with illnesses such as eating disorders, and other complex mental health conditions, such as psychosis, bipolar disorder and emerging personality disorder. We are located in Wheaton Aston on the A5 just a few miles from junction 12 of the M6, 10 miles from Stafford, 12 miles from Wolverhampton and 21 miles from Telford.

We are looking for a Full Time Medical Secretary to provide a full medical secretarial service to the Consultants and Medical Team, assisting them in achieving their objectives, organising their workload and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services.

We are looking for a confident and organised person to work within our team, to provide excellent secretarial support to our Unit Consultant and the Unit as a whole within our Huntercombe Hospital Stafford.

A passion for customer care, exceptional interpersonal skills and a high level of patient focus is needed. Relevant experience and audio typing of 70 WPM is desirable, with AMSPAR qualifications an added advantage.

Key Accountabilities:
• To take receipt of all correspondence, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken
• The audio transcription and text processing of complex clinical letters, reports, case summaries and other correspondence as required by the Consultant and medical team, whilst ensuring a high degree of accuracy in medical terminology and clinical details
• To act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries for the Consultant and medical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members, other Health Professionals and Staff, GPs, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers, and any other appropriate external agencies
• To be responsible for ensuring the implementation of patient registration codes for medics are set up as required by the Consultant, and management team
• Entering patient data on the patient registration system on behalf of the Consultant/Medical team in a timely manner
• To be responsible for preparing and ensuring that Care Records and all necessary paperwork is available
• To access and retrieve data for the Consultant via the specified reporting system or Microsoft databases as required
• To manage and co-ordinate the Consultant’s electronic diary.

FRENCHAY BRAIN INJURY REHABILITATION CENTRE

Frenchay Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, part of the Huntercombe Group, is a modern newly built independent hospital run in partnership with the NHS (North Bristol NHS Trust). It provides an inpatient Level 1 intensive brain injury rehabilitation service (29 NHS England funded beds) for the South West of England and has now refurbished its old building to provide a further 23 slower-stream neuro-rehabilitation beds (Level 2).
