(LCDPFI) is a non-stock, non-profit, and non-government organization established in September 2010. It is a strategic partner of Leonard Cheshire International (LC)-UK and a member of Leonard Cheshire Global Alliance. LCDPFI’s core programs are Inclusive Education (IE), Young Voices (YV) and Economic Empowerment (EE).
* Inclusive Education (IE) aims to provide children with disabilities access t
o quality education by working closely with schools, families and communities to facilitate their enrollment in mainstream regular classes; provide educational assistance, assistive devices and other support services; capacity building and trainings to school administrators, teachers and parents; support on school modification for accessibility; disability orientation and awareness campaign.
* Young Voices (YV) organizes youth with disabilities 16-25 years old into dynamic groups; and develops them to become young leaders and advocates of their rights through provision of development and leadership trainings, skills enhancement, group dynamic activities and opportunities for participation in the local and international conferences for youth development. Awareness and advocacy campaign on the rights of people with disabilities are conveyed through music, arts, dances and short films.
* Economic Empowerment (EE) assists persons with disabilities overcome the barriers they face in finding gainful employment and livelihood through access to job information; career advice and guidance; provision of development trainings such as communication skills, personality development, entrepreneurship; referral for work placement; job coaching; livelihoods assistance and other support services. It works closely with employers and partners on employment and promotion of inclusive workplace for people with disabilities. LCDPFI’s flagship project is the Economic Empowerment which adopts the Livelihoods Resource Center (LRC) model as a one-stop-shop facility where people with disabilities can come and avail of various services to help them in their search for livelihood or employment. It provides a wide range of services and is designed to open opportunities for persons with disabilities to develop marketable skills, social and life skills, access to wage employment and engage in business enterprise
As an offshoot of our Economic Empowerment Program and to further our work in promoting economic independence and right to employment of persons with disabilities, the Voice-Hivos project came about. It is LCDPFI's advocacy arm steering the work to unite the fragmented voices and efforts of the sector by supporting the capacity building of partner Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and creation of an employer’s network that will push disability agenda especially access to employment as a priority among government agencies, LGUs and private sector. Nakahain ngayon sa House of Representatives ang HB 2128 o ang “National Disability Support Allowance Act” na layong magbigay ng buwanang stipend para sa mga disability-related costs at madagdagan ang pangunahing kita ng mga sambahayang may kasamang taong may kapansanan. Naaayon ito sa isinusulong ng sektor na Disability Support Allowance Bill (DSAB).
Ano nga ba ang DSAB? Bakit ito mahalaga para sa sektor? Ating alamin dito sa InkluNasyon!

Ipinagdiriwang tuwing Hulyo 17 and International Criminal Justice Day upang itaguyod at ipalaganap sa buong mundo ang kahalagahan nito sa lahat ng mamamayan. Dito sa Pilipinas, ang isyu sa Access to Justice ng mga taong may kapansanan ang isa sa mga pangunahing isinusulong ng mga tagapagtaguyod. Sa episode na ito, ating alamin kung ano ang Access to Justice mula sa isang abogado na nagtataguyod nito at ang karanasan ng isang babaeng may kapansanan sa isyu ng patas na hustisya para sa lahat. Ang Batas Pambansa 10524 “Expanding the Positions Reserved for Persons with Disability” na nilagdaan noong 2013 ay naglaan para sa mga taong may kapansanan ng trabaho na di bababa sa isang porsyento (1%) sa mga opisina ng gobyerno. Kumustahin natin ang employment ng sektor, mula sa dalawang organisasyon na tumutulong sa mga may kapansanan sa usaping ito. May pagbuti ba ang lagay ng sektor? Iyan at marami pang iba, dito sa InkluNasyon!

Leonard Cheshire Disability Philippines Foundation Inc. (LCDPFI) is a non-stock, non-profit, and non-government organization established in September 2010. It is a strategic partner of Leonard Cheshire International and a member of Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance.
LCDPFI aims to advocate and protect the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities in adherence to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). It works for the attainment of educational equality, economic independence, active participation and social inclusion of persons with disabilities in the Philippines.
LCDPFI’s goals and objectives are translated through its core programs on:

Economic Empowerment (EE) - assist persons with disabilities overcome the barriers they face in finding gainful employment and livelihoods through assessment, access to job information; career counseling and guidance; provision of development trainings such as communication skills, personality development, entrepreneurship; skills and job matching; referral for work placement; job coaching; livelihoods assistance and other support services. It works closely with employers and partners on employment by providing disability orientation, sensitization, accessibility audit and technical assistance on promoting disability inclusive workplace.
“Access to Livelihoods or A2L” is the flagship project of EE Programme supported by LCD International and funded by Accenture Global Foundation. The Livelihoods Resource Centers (LRCs) serve as a one-stop-shop facility where people with disabilities can come and avail of various services to help them in their search for employment or livelihoods. It provides a wide range of services and is designed to open opportunities for persons with disabilities to develop marketable skills, social and life skills, access to wage employment and engage in business enterprise.
