Loneliness and isolation have a lot to teach us; especially when we stop trying to fix or hide them.

I’ve realised I’m not lonely because I’m alone; I’m alone because I choose peace, honesty, and authenticity over noise and people-pleasing.

When people drift away, I no longer chase or question it. I trust that space makes room for something better aligned.

Maybe that’s the quiet confidence that comes with age, or maybe it’s just the relief of finally being unapologetically myself.

💫 Here’s to solitude without sadness...and to being okay with who stays, and who doesn’t.

I am in a space of reflection… 🔮

Over 20 years in the well-being world has brought deep learning, countless modalities and profound experiences. I’ve also watched the word Alchemy move from something I had to explain to something that’s now everywhere.

My passion remains the same; helping people focus on their well-being, because without it, we don’t function well for long. But I’ll be honest.....I’m becoming bored of all these “solutions” being sold. The quick fixes, the next shiny offering, the endless promises of transformation. Surely I can’t be the only one?

What I’m seeing more and more is that what people truly need isn’t always what they think they need. True change doesn’t come from anything external, it starts within. As I often say: "You don’t know what you don’t know".

So, as I sit with my metaphorical crystal ball (and my real one) not to predict the future, but to gain clarity........I’m allowing space for what’s next to reveal itself. My socials will reflect that journey: less noise, more honesty.

Some offerings remain, commitments continue, and I’m paying it forward where I can. Here’s to authenticity, alignment and a little magic along the way ✨

✨ I spent a lovely morning online running an Introduction to EFT on behalf of the The Federation of Holistic Therapists .

Another smashing group of enthusiastic learners; such a joy to share this simple yet powerful technique and watch people experience those lightbulb moments. 💫

You don’t have to be an FHT member to join these sessions, so if you’ve ever been curious about Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), keep an eye out for future workshops!

✨Awe✨

There’s something about a sunrise that never fails to stop me in my tracks. That quiet moment where the world shifts from night to day feels like pure magic.

Science agrees; psychologists like Dacher Keltner have found that awe doesn’t just feel good; it reshapes us. It slows down our perception of time, enhances memory, lowers stress, and even supports heart health.

I notice it every day in nature’s wonders:
🌅 The rising and setting of the sun, painting the sky anew
☀️ Shafts of light streaming through clouds (as a child, I thought that was God)
🌸 A sky so blue… and yet flowers can be too
💧 Water, endlessly fascinating beyond words
💚 Green....my grounding, forever favourite

✨ “He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.” Albert Einstein ✨

Awe is my reminder to pause, to feel wonder, and to connect with something far greater than myself.

What moments of awe light up your world?

✨ Stepping on to the Path of Meditation ✨

I’m delighted to be speaking for the FHT at this year’s Training & Conference Webinars.

Meditation has physical and emotional benefits; it is the most accessible self-help tool available to us. Yet many people say they either can’t meditate or don’t know how.

In this seminar we’ll explore a few different meditation techniques, their benefits, and some of the neuroscience that shows why we all can step onto the path of meditation.

As a passionate well-being advocate, I’ve spent over 20 years pursuing knowledge in this field and exploring a vast array of healing modalities — including teaching meditation.

I believe we all hold the power within to heal and find balance in our worlds. Sometimes we just need a helping hand to guide and support us on the journey.

Farewell & thank you, September 🍂✨

I was going to say you’ve been a gentle month for me… but as I sit here reflecting, I see you’ve been richly full. Gentle in pace perhaps, yet deeply productive in the ways that matter.

A weekend away in Bath with Hubster filled with laughter and wandering. A trip to Scarborough to study “The Key to Karma” with Alistair, where I reconnected with a community of beautiful souls who always make my heart sing. Long lunches with friends that left me smiling, a day dancing with Sarah-Jane, and even a Pickleball trial (yes – I think I’m going to continue!).

At home, the chimney has been swept and the fire lit, Strictly has returned to my screen, and art classes have resumed after a year’s pause. DIY has been in full swing too; from a new decking area to a refreshed lounge with a new sofa, and even the front door proudly showing off its fresh colour.

And of course, the milestone that has changed the rhythm of our home: Harriet starting Uni. A huge shift, filled with pride, love, and all the emotions in between.

All this, while quietly layering in my new non-negotiables, the habits and practices that support my energy, wellbeing, and joy.

September, you’ve been a month of gratitude, connection, and change. You’ve reminded me that “gentle” doesn’t mean empty.

It can mean meaningful, steady, and full of heart. 🍁💛

✨ My new non-negotiables ✨

An ankle injury in late 2024 slowed me right down. By the time I could move again, the impact on my health was obvious and with work taking priority, I tipped into full Autistic Burnout by Summer 2025.

So now? I don’t compromise. These are my non-negotiables; the things that keep me well, balanced and joyful:

🌞 Daily: Morning walks for movement & sunlight
🌊 Weekly: Wild swimming (hydrostatic pressure, cold water magic & nature!)
🎨 Art class (creativity)
💪 Pilates (core strength)
🤝 Time with friends (connection)
🛼 Bi-weekly: Rollerskating (movement & pure joy)
🌌 Monthly: Solo stretching experiences (personal growth) + finally doing the things I always meant to (and reviewing what those are)

This isn’t just a routine; it’s a reclaiming.

What would your non-negotiables be?

I saw this quote on Gabby Bernstein’s Insta and it resonated so deeply with me. ✨

I’m in my “let’s see how good I can feel and how much I can surrender to the Universe” era 🌙💫

Since my summer break, I’ve decided not to chase for work, but instead to shape work around the things I love to do; not the other way round.

Less pushing. More allowing.
Less hustle. More flow.

How are you letting life hold you right now? 🌿

Equinox blessings ✨🍂

Mabon; the festival of balance, gratitude and harvest, arrived with a day full of release and soul nourishment. The day before, I was held so beautifully by in ceremony and dance.... the perfect space to set intentions and let go.

Carrying that energy forward, I started the morning with a long walk, joined a group meditation with , and then plunged into a lake swim (the air definitely carried that new autumn chill 🥶).

By the time I got home, I was still cold to my bones so straight into the hot tub I went. Warmed through, I then promptly needed a nanna nap…..clearly peaking too soon! 😅

Mabon reminds us that release is not an ending, it’s a kind of preparation. 🍁

✨ Creativity is a human necessity, not a luxury.

Whether we paint, cook, write, garden, dance, knit or sing. It’s not about the outcome, it’s about the experience. Creativity connects us to joy, flow and possibility.

In mBIT coaching (multiple brain integration), the head brain’s highest expression is Creativity. When we allow ourselves to create, without judgement or expectation, we tap into fresh ideas and often, a surprising sense of calm.

🧠 Science tells us that creative activity reduces stress by lowering cortisol, the stress hormone. So those moments of play and imagination aren’t indulgent; they’re deeply restorative.

I’ve been leaning into this lately through writing, rollerskating, even repurposing a dollhouse..…all of it fuels me.

💡 How do you bring creativity into your life?

My September To Do List ✨

I’m a list maker; I don’t waste brain space trying to remember everything, I write it down! Normally, September is when I plan the rest of the year, but not this time.

After a long period of heightened cortisol (hello, stress hormones 👋), I’m choosing NOT to ramp things up. My list is much simpler:

✔️ Stuff – meeting work commitments & decluttering
✔️ Create – from crumbles to bunting, dollhouse project to jewellery
✔️ More of what I love – writing, swimming, rollerskating, pilates, dancing, walks, weekends away (Bath & Scarborough, here I come!)

This resonates.......“We don’t get burned out from doing too much, but from doing too little of what we love.” 💫

What’s on your to do list?
