We ... along with our awesome guests ... did it! 🙌A 100% Compostable Refreshment Centre, and better yet? It's been a seamless transition. No more cups, lids, stir sticks and paper going into the waste receptacle! Truly, it's the little things that add up to making a big difference for our planet!🌏

It’s here, the 5’ELEVEN Spring/Summer 375-page Island edition arrived from London! 🙌 This incredible work of fashion, travel and artistry features internationally renowned, Powell River model, Tasha Tilberg. We were honoured to host the crew in cold mid-winter, and equally happy to have Tasha photographed right here in our Hotel Maple Lobby. The backdrop of our river rock fireplace and the deep blue fabric of our new sofa (thank you Design Therapy!) set the simple West Coast vibe for the fashion shoot theme. The crew traveled on to Saratoga Beach for more stunning images.
We also were super happy to also be included in the online magazine with a full Old House Hotel & Ohspa write-up, joining the ranks of amazing international luxury hotels.
Life is about networks and meeting new people who break the mold when it comes to creativity, kindness, perseverance and professionalism. A huge shout out to the talented Karen Munnis who led the charge to feature Vancouver Island and Tasha in this gorgeous issue, and to her location and editorial team back in London.🥰

What a way to start a summer day ... where am I? Relaxing on a private deck, outside a comfy suite, in the beautiful, West Coast themed Maple Building at the OLD HOUSE HOTEL! It's got its own chill, private vibe. With your own kitchenette, you can stock up on your favourite foods and greet the day from your private deck with a garden view. And yes, the pool and hot tub are just over there in our more socially-forward equally beautiful Cedar Building!
