Nordic Body Malin is the CEO & Founder of Nordic Body - a walking & fitness club for the 50+ crowd. The first 1-mile walking loop opened in Santa Monica on June 29, 2019.

Whether she works out Jane Fonda or people that have never worked out – her mission is the same: to strengthen the body & mind to age with confidence. Originally from Sweden, Malin Svensson came to Los Angeles in 1989 with a master’s degree in Physical Education and became certified by NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) in 2000. A former nationally ranked runner with over 30 years of exper

ience in the fitness industry, Malin is the CEO & Founder of Nordic Body - a walking and fitness club committed to inspiring the 50+ crowd to live a fun, healthy, and fulfilling life by providing 360-degree support from online to live programs including holistic fitness retreats, private sessions, workshops, and community classes. Malin is also an International Fitness Coach/Author/Speaker and her third published book “WAKE UP Your Body + Mind After 50!” launched on November 17, 2020. Whether she works out fitness guru Jane Fonda or people that have never worked out a day in their lives – her mission is the same: to strengthen the body and mind to age with confidence. Malin has been featured as a walking and fitness expert in several media outlets like CBS Los Angeles, LA Times, The NY Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Fitness magazine. She brought Nordic Walking to North America in 2002 and is one of the leading authorities in Nordic Walking worldwide. Her passion for making a difference in people’s wellbeing is further expressed by her organization Adopt-A-Walk.

Friday’s poker game had something extra special about it — and it was all about how naturally everyone made themselves at home.🏠

I was sitting on the kitchen counter eating my dinner as people trickled in one by one. Some went straight to the fridge or the microwave, grabbed plates, brought their own food. 🍱

Others started setting up the poker table. Everyone was chatting, moving around, doing their thing — and I just sat there feeling this quiet wave of joy. ❤️

My version of hosting is gathering people around a fun activity or a game — creating a reason to come together — and then just letting it unfold naturally.👍

I’m not the person who cooks (because I can’t cook 🤣) a big dinner, sets the table perfectly, and has everyone arrive at the same time. That’s just not me. But having people in my home where they feel relaxed enough to help themselves, to just be — that fills me up in a way I can’t quite explain.🙏

No structure. No performance. Just laughter, connection, and people feeling at home in my home.😃
