Happy thanksgiving my friends.
This thanksgiving my wish for you is not “turkey” but time.
Time is precious.
Instead of a savory turkey...savor time and give thanks.
Time with family and friends, time for yourself and time for your chosen faith.
Savor each minute. Take it all in. Not just the “kodak” moments. Don’t wait for perfect. Life isn’t picture perfect. Its messy, unexpected, wrong turns, out of the ordinary, spur of the moment, laughing at mistakes, ...the list is endless.
But it’s also what makes each family both different and similar.
Don’t let life and precious time together pass you by without notice or thanks.
Long after the big thanksgiving meal is over and the left overs that follow are gone, you’ll have memories that last forever.
Don’t wait for a miracle to give thanks.Give thanks for the gift of time as well as all the simple everyday blessing that we sometimes overlook.

Tomorrow starts Thanksgiving “week”. A time not so easy for those with Gastroparesis. But a time where the support for each other can be so important.
Let’s help each other out. While typically we center holidays around food, let’s focus on each other. Our settler’s wouldn’t have been able to celebrate that first thanksgiving if it wasn’t for each other.
Please share stories, suggestions, alternative celebrations. It may help more than you realize.
