Avalon On December 4th 1993 Hillary Morgan opened a store called Dragonwood to serve the pagan community at 1211 Hillcrest Street. I continued to work there.

I started working for her in May 1995. In July 1997 she passed the torch to Jack Greeney and the store was renamed Herne’s Hollow. On April 5th 1999 the store and I “grew up and left home” when I took over with my partner Digby. The store was renamed Avalon for a sacred place of my homeland and to honour my first mentor, Dylan Ap Thuin, who took me there.

ted Island” welcoming new friends EVERY SINGLE DAY and calling our clients– Our Family. The Philosophy is simple. We provide a place of rest; a place of spiritual reflection and a space to talk about your journey. You will find Books, Incense, Candles, Crystals, Herbs, Oils, Statuary, Faeries, Music, Clothing and All Things Rare and Magickal……

Why Avalon?
Many of you know I’m from Britain.
Avalon is the Isle of Apples. The apple tree in the Celtic tree alphabet is the ability to know and see beauty.
I first went to Avalon (Glastonbury) when I was 18 with my mentor/friend who was a Druid, Dylan ap Thuin.
As I climbed the tor on a sunny day the sky changed and there was a hail storm. And there was my initiation. It’s a steep climb and I was frightened clinging to the side of the tor.
Forever after dedicated to the “Avalon of the Heart”.
Our special world between worlds and that’s why I named the store Avalon when I took over that location in 1999.
I visit my homeland every year to see my family and be home. Heading back to you all tomorrow. Ask me if you want to know more about the sacred isle. It’s an actual sacred place….a mythical story…a way of living in the heart.
