Carolyn is long time resident of Long Island. Certified Yoga and Matt Pilates
Carolyn has been involved in the fitness industry since 1990 where she
began instructing group fitness classes after getting certified
through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). Carolyn received her 200 Hr yoga certification at Long Island Yoga School in 2009 and ha

s continued to study many other yoga styles including Viniyoga and Iyengar. She emphasizes personalized instruction and safety while teaching all
levels beginner to advanced. She has taught at many gyms and spas in the NY area including The Fitness Loft, The Excelsior NYC, Health Trax, HealthBridge, NSLIJ and Vivo Health and Fitness. Class formats: Hatha, Vinyasa and Yogalates

I got into yoga after becoming overly stressed at a high pressure sales job in NYC. It is my passion to afford that peace onto others. For the last seven years I have made this mission a full time pursuit learning on my own and through my certification classes at The Long Island Yoga School and IMX Pilates as well as many healing and educational classes at Kripalu Center in the Berkshires. Having experience living with pain from a tumor that broke my L5 vertebrae, I have continually pursued how to be pain free through posture correcting exercises, balance and the mind body connection. Each class begins with intention and ends in healing meditation. Namaste - Carolyn
