Join us September 10, 2025 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. (Central Time) for “Dobbs-Driven Expansion of Perinatal Palliative Care: A Review of the Evidence and Its Limits.” This professional perspectives webinar will be delivered by Dr. Abigail Wilpers, clinician, researcher, and member of the RTS National Faculty.

The session will explore the evolving role of perinatal palliative care (PPC) in the wake of the Dobbs decision, which has led to more individuals continuing pregnancies with life-limiting fetal conditions. Grounded in a recent scoping review of U.S.-based research, Dr. Wilpers will examine what the evidence tells us about PPC’s safety, effectiveness, acceptability, and equity—and where key gaps remain. This presentation builds on RTS’s longstanding commitment to evidence-based, relationship-centered care by offering attendees an opportunity to engage deeply with emerging data that impacts the families we serve. Together, we’ll consider how PPC is being positioned in current policy landscapes, what this means for clinical practice, and how we can continue to uphold the principles of autonomy, compassion, and informed choice across the care continuum.
