Interdependence over Independence
This Fourth of July, as the world around and often within remains complex and groundless, may we pause to reflect not on a holiday or an idea but on our innate need to participate in the process of life, to not stand by and watch or simply think about or feel about it but engage with the raw material. Being a part of a community, a sangha, is an aspect of engagement. To truly experience interdependence we must devote, with compassion, to uncovering and discovering how we impact and are impacted by one another. How action and non action have a ripple, a ripple of healing or suffering at any given moment.
Yoga reminds us that liberation is not an isolated pursuit. *It is relational*. It lives in our breath, in our bodies, in the ways we show up for one another.
Over the course of our lives many griefs, injustices, and uncertainties will continue to reveal themselves through our collective nervous systems until our last breath. Therefore - It matters how we care for ourselves, how we tend to our inner world shapes how we engage with the outer one.
Our practice isn’t an escape from the world’s pain, it’s what grounds us in presence, courage, and compassion so we can meet it.
✨ This week, we invite you to invest in your own wellbeing—not as self-absorption or avoidance of reality, but as sacred preparation.
We’re offing a special $18/ class 10 pack now through Monday as a way to communally support one another. The reciprocal energy exchange offers all of us beauty- collective spaces to ground, breathe, and attend.
Because “freedom” isn’t just what we claim for ourselves, it’s how we relate to the whole.
It’s how we engage in the living energy of this practice. Link 🔗 for the special pass in stories and in bio
