Good morning everyone..today I’m going to do things a little different. Tomorrow is my last day here at Community Counseling Center after nearly 7 years. Cindi Lofton a dear family friend whom I have known most of my life ask me to come work here. I was very hesitant at first for personal reasons, but I decided it was time to take the job. My first day I was so lost. I never really understood Mental Health and how it effects people and their daily life. Over the years here I have met so many people. I met Ryan Kwan my first day. He showed me the ropes and we soon became not only co-workers, but good friends. Then I meet Ms.Sue Frothingham. This lady became a very special friend as well. All of the counselors here hold a special place in my heart, Dianne, MMS, Liz and Linsa, and Sherri, not just co-workers but family..Terri Burrell who works for Delta Cotton Belles, you are my dear friend and I will miss you so much. ❤️❤️. I have learned so much over the years from everyone here at CCC and of all of the special Board Members that keep CCC going. You all rock!! Cindi thanks so much for asking me to join a great team!! I will miss you so much!! Thanks for everything! I love you all❤️❤️❤️. I am so lucky to have meet so many special people over the years!!❤️❤️
Sincerely,
Paula Roberts

Coping with Grief on Father’s Day:
1-Take action: Remember your father by spending the day doing something he enjoyed.
2-Quietly reflect: Spend some time looking through photos, watching videos, journaling, or simply remembering your time together.
3-Try relaxation techniques: If you anticipate that the day will be difficult , plan some ways to bring calmness to your body and mind.
4- Spend time with others: Social support can be a great way to feel connected and to share memories with others.
5-Seek professional support: Sometimes, grief is too difficult to handle alone. If grief-related feelings and responses don’t lessen over time, reach out to a grief therapist who can help you process the loss and work through the grief.
If you or someone you know needs help with their grief, we are here for you. You can call us at 662-332-1819 to setup an appointment with one of our Counselors.

I saw this and I wanted to post it for people that may need to hear this. “You may not want to exist right now, but someone is happy that you do” That speaks volumes. You are worthy. You are never worthless. If you are feeling that way, reach out to someone. Our minds are a dangerous place.
