In my previous post I talked about elevated estrogen levels especially for women; Let me clarify we have synthetic estrogens it is in our food , make up and those are called Xenoestrogens they are endocrine disruptors they are found in pestiscides, phtalates ,BPA or bisphenol, Dioxins, petrochemicals; tricolsan, PEGs,Parabens.
How do we get exposed to these chemicals:Diet; cosmetics; soaps.

Cortisol is the stress hormone it is an essential hormone it regulates the body's stress response , regulates metabolism , suppresses inflammation, regulates high blood pressure it even regulates blood sugar however higher than normal or lower than normal cortisol levels are harmful to health.One can have high cortisol level due to pituitary or adrenal glands tumors, elevated hormone levels such as estrogen for women, chronic stress.
Nowadays most people suffer from high cortisol levels due increased stress.
How to reduce cortisol level when you have multiple stressors in your life:
-Get Quality sleep.
-Acupuncture treatments
-Exercise regularly
-Practice deep breathing/Yoga
-learn to limit stress and stressful thinking patterns
-Be grateful for what you have ;this will change your mind set.

When we are stressed out we seek comfort food : Sweets, fatty foods like burgers, fried foods like french fries, sodas, beer, alcohol so we can feel better however it is a temporary feeling in the long run we feel worse ; we become less energetic and sometimes unable to focus and concentrate ; this will add more stress into our lives. It is important to make the right choices and to know which foods to incorporate in our diet and which foods to avoid.The best way to combat stress is to have a healthy balanced diet.

It is much easier to avoid illness than to treat it.In today's medicine the basic understanding is that we can't cure everything, so the best way to stay healthy is to prevent things by paying attention to hygiene, adopting a proper diet and exercising.That is all true; however we are more than our bodies and all aspect of our being have to be taken into consideration.
