The easiest way to know if your results are sustainable is if after three or four weeks your body is only changing by a few pounds.

If you’re losing or gaining more than that over a month or so it may not stick after a few months.
Your goals are achievable but delicate- healthy, sustainable growth is patient but sturdy.

Sometimes sorting through how you want to become strong and healthy comes down to simply picturing it. You know if you won’t be committing to a workout five days a week. You know if you won’t deprive yourself of certain foods.

It’s okay to structure your exercise and nutrition around YOU.

Transformation doesn’t have to be miserable, it should feel good and be true to what you want for yourself.

It’s not something we “have” or “get” to do. It just is. Bodybuilding, competitive sports, etc… are something different.
I’m talking about being fit and functional—being human. We are MEANT to frolic, to play, to work, to do stuff. Our bodies are the most adaptable things on earth.

If you’re stressed about how you look, your weight, your health, or anything else and get overwhelmed by Instagram bodies—start here: just play. Train and eat healthy so that you can do things you like and stick around longer.

I personally like to watch an episode of television while I’m on the treadmill.
When I come home and get the itch to watch it, I immediately go to the treadmill because I’ve associated the show to the activity 😀 and it feels good too, to relax and consume media but finish and feel good that I’ve done something good for my body.

People are always shocked when I tell them that the warm up is the stretching!

Unless you’re training to be flexible or you are about to play a sport without a warm up, then no, you do not have to carve time out for it.

Oils, syrups, sauces, dressings, etc. Literal hundreds and hundreds of calories can be taken away completely or replaced with food that’s much more nutritious and will help you feel full.
But that doesn’t mean it has to be bland.

You can put all the salsa and spices in the world you want (and mustard!) and if you really need it, try the oil cooking spray so that it’s so much less.
