We have become avoidant as a society when it comes to the words associated with our body weight and for good reason - it's a trigger point for many.
Completely understandable if you have experienced judgement about your body at any stage however it doesn't have to be this way.
Our bodies don't define us yet what I experienced with gaining over 20kg creating my daughter later in life is that it made day to day functioning so much harder.
Tighter muscles, pressure on joints, less able to do day to day activities or play physical games with my son.
It created extra admin to balance my energy. Now that 12 kilos have gone by nourishing my lifestyle post partum my body feels much easier to move and exercise.
This post is not to highlight the need to lose weight it's to bring awareness that carrying extra weight doesn't mean you're not a healthy eater.

As a consequence they weight fell off it didn't need to be pushed through unrealistic eating regimes.
This is because holding onto weight is not always reflective of the how much you eat and how you move.
It depends on the state of your nervous system and even if you eat well - weight can still hold on.
Lack of quality sleep, injuries, illness, hormonal oscillation, inflammation, disruptive digestion as well as all types of stress (mental, physical and emotional) cause your body to hold onto the food you eat even if it is healthy.
If you're happy with how you feel in your body - great.
However if you are not and would love to feel lighter and more energized then be aware that all of these life experiences will alter how your body uses food for fuel and consequently also impact your immune system.
Simply counting calories and exercising more is not going to be the formula for you to create the healthy body you want.
You need to nourish your whole lifestyle, reprogramme your nervous system so your body feels safe to release the extra weight and keep it off.
