The hospital was commissioned in year 1978. It is managed by Shree Karsan Gopal Jesani Hospital Trust. The trust is a charitable non-profit organization and is committed to render medical treatment to patients of all ages, caste & race. The hospital was set up primarily to meet the needs of the rural population in the vicinity of Baladia, where adequate medical facilities were not available. Even for common ailments, people had to travel to Bhuj city and beyond it. Medical care in the large cities was becoming more and more expensive and generally beyond the means of the poor. Today, the services that the hospital provides to the regional people are invaluable being one of the only medical facilities of its caliber in the region. The services offered to its visitors are highly subsidized by the organization. The trust has a vision to provide best healthcare services in terms of accessibility, patient safety, effectiveness, affordable and efficiency, covering all the healthcare quality dimensions with human touch. Since the inception of the hospital, over one million patients have availed the services of the hospital in different ways. The trust is also well known for the medical camp it often organizes in village Baladia, Bhuj - Kutch.
