In the spirit of honouring the beautiful Quan Yin, Holy Being of Mercy and Compassion, for her birthday acknowledgement, a few of us went along to the new Montrose Temple and school of Pure Land Buddhism to celebrate.

A day of welcome, delicious food, lessons, chanting and the giving of respectful thanks to the Goddess gave us pause to reflect and learn.

It has been many months of service giving which has challenged my carefully created balance! What was I training for with my daily practice for years but learning how to shift with the sands!!
Well the sands shifted a lot these many months and I was struggling there for a while.
Yet, as internal development does, I have been spat out of the grumpy realm with a fresh set of tools and upgraded wisdoms!! Man what a ride!!!
One of my Spiritually guided experiences was soaking in the Holy energy of Tamborine Mountains in QLD last September.
Our indigenous people treasure and honour this area for its powerful transitions and deep connection with the land, and nature.
Two of us sat in ceremony with the trees and were gifted with their guidance.
It is a visible, palpable network inviting one to understand the profound union of all things. The trees have messages and their network is global.
With a stop off on the way to the trees to receive a beautiful blessing from whales and a sunset prayer, this was an incredibly strengthening time.

Take a moment with no expectation nor judgement, to sit with a tree and share space with rich respect and it will shift your life.

Turns out that a branch of my ancestors were a well known pioneer family with this waterfall named after them. Curtis Falls, Tambourine Qld. Standing at this spot was filled with reflections - mine and the creeks!!

Being a Military Brat is both an incredible honour and also an incredibly complex upbringing. When you come from generations of soldiers giving service, naturally you follow into service orientated directions yourself.
When I started my nursing career as a Registered Nursing “Sister”, it was with Vietnam Veterans.
Living with an Officer in both NZ Army and Australian Air Force, and with a POW of WW2 grandfather, it has been inevitable that I walk my life with one foot in Service Life.
To have the opportunity to es**rt my 90 year old father to the 95th Anniversary of the Australian Ground Defence Ball was something special indeed.
It was his event. A place to connect with his old “home space”. I was merely a witness to his joy with an understanding of his happiness.
An amazing and important moment in time for us both in different ways.

If it is a first anniversary or a birthday of someone you loved and they passed on to another realm, then possibly you struggle.
Maybe you did not get to say goodbye.
Perhaps you were pushed aside from showing the love you wanted. What if the opportunity to express your love and closure did not arrive for you?
The aftermath of such events sit deep in our Souls and leave us in guilt or anger and a myriad of painful emotions that leave us unsettled for even years.

What if you could resolve this and bring a beautiful peace to both your loved one and yourself?
Do you believe that its possible your loved one can hear you?
Do you believe that its possible your actions are seen from the Other side?
What if it is never too late to say what you need to say?

Rituals to honour our loved ones and ourselves are appreciated on both sides all over the world. Its a simple but genuinely heart felt thing to imagine what beautiful moment you can offer even now and make your loved one smile from afar!!
Whatever feels right to create and offer with a few loving words is incredibly powerful and soothing. The air around you feels different noticeably and is calming.
Today is Mums birthday. I do not have a place to go to so I made one. Our Sacred space was simple.
A candle, a pretty wee tree and 1930’s music held the energy of my mother and she met me there.
It was restful and allowed me to remember her a year out from her passing.
Sacred Time is easy and beautiful. Happy Birthday Mum.

For those of you who followed the Charlie Story, here he is.
A two year saga of taking a spitting, manky three legged street cat off the street to try and offer him a life of health and love.

He reminded me of the Warner Brothers cartoon Tassie Devil as he spun past growling on three legs deperate for food and stealing whatever he could.
This ginger ninja fought hard to live and trusted nobody.

It took us 12 months of dedicated food support to capture him then another 12 months of loving guidance to begin seeing signs of him beginning to trust. His three legs slowly become four as his broken hip began to heal.

A street cat most often has had no background with humans other than terror. This is a different situation to an abandoned or lost domesticated cat. (Mind you both are awful situations.)

We needed the support from trained rescue groups and vets. We made many phonecalls to experienced individuals with our concerns over the many months.
It was a long ride!

Today, nearly 3 years later, Charlie as we named him right from the beginning (not thinking he would wind up ours) is the cuddliest and most loving cat.
He wont be picked up and he still frightens easily with new people but he is most certainly a lap cat.

Without meaning to, we have “rescued” 5 cats and each one was painful to our hearts, with their lndividual horror stories - all caused by humans.
Each one a valuable life. Each one a joy to see healing with a new home.

Charlie was our trickiest, most challenging fur friend.
He had nothing left in those eyes but look at them again now.
We are blessed to have this wee soul love us, but love us he does.
The feeling is mutual!!

Working with grief and loss has been an honour for me over the years.
Working THROUGH grief has always been and remains my greatest inner growth and connection to myself, others and Spirit in all the ways of mystery.

Last weekend was a wonderful gathering of both, where each of us stopped for a while to honour Mothers and Others in awareness of the Divine Feminine.
This was strengthened and orchestrated by our combined Spirit Teams and loved Dieties in honour of my mother Beth, and in conjunction with so many beautiful Loved Souls.

We owned our grief, we Named our loves and called Them in with full hearts.
We ceremoniously offered flower petals into the Sacred Waters of Divinity between life and crossing the river into passing on.
It was beautiful and rich.

Thank you to every participant for sharing our grief together, each one of us upon the Sacred land of the Indigenous Women in the beauty of Olinda.
I am Blessed to have spent this time with so many hearts.❤️

A warm thank you to those who helped to arrange our ceremony in the gardens, the florist, the cafe.
A day to reflect upon with ease, grace and inner peace.
