To be moody is to be human.
But in this world we have been taught to bury, numb and avoid our emotions and moods instead of working out how to channel them. This is damaging for our wellbeing and effects our outcomes at home and work. So I am sharing the built-in body wisdom I have learned through coaching humans that will allow you to feel, process and let go of your moods safely and sustainably. Your mental, emotional and physical self will love you for it (and your business or boss will too) - so give it a go. Lockdown 5 might be giving you all the feels or an overwhelming sense of numbness. This is totally natural although likely uncomfortable.

A couple of suggestions:

Double down on whatever self care works for you that is nourishing. These might be things like mediation, breathing techniques, taking a nap, journaling, letting yourself have a cry, eating a home cooked meal, calling a friend to chat, removing a sense temporarily so your brain has less to process (like sitting in a dark room for a few minutes).

These things make a huge difference to your body when your mind is very stressed.

Monday’s are synonymous with stress for many people. We however, think of Monday’s as the day to prioritise the 3 M’s.

☑️ Mindfulness
☑️ Mantra
☑️ Meditation

Mindfulness may include movement like stretching or an exercise modality of your choice; or it may mean removing distractions while you eat to give your body time and space to digest and refuel, or it could even be simply taking a moment to acknowledge your physical, mental and emotional feelings.

Mantra is a wonderful way to train your brain positively, giving is focus and direction. This has shown to have effects on the chemicals (neurotransmitters) within the body therefore changing your mood, pain tolerance levels, sleep, skin health, digestion and more! What you think about DOES affect the body. Why not make a short mantra for yourself and repeat it daily 6+ times to see how you feel?

Meditation can involve anything from deep breathing to visualisation, to physical relaxation techniques and can help you form a positive relationship between mind and body, even directing your body to recharge without the use of caffeine for example!

All of this can be achieved in under 10 minutes combined when done consistently; and bringing the 3 M’s into your day might just make your week fulfilling instead of stressful. So join us in waving bye to mondayitis and hello to a healthier approach.

As we venture into a Covid-normal world we are working to adjust our schedules for our online Meditation and Breathwork Sessions. So far it seems that many people's lives are still adapting day by day as their own workplaces and businesses make decisions about when, and how to work in-person. This means there is no clear or ideal slot each week for our sessions to suit everyone.

WHAT WE ARE DOING NOW:
We have decided to pause our online meditations temporarily as people head back to work and adjust to their new lifestyles. But we will be using that time to record brand new content for you!
