Supplement Spot Light:

CREATINE ⭐️💪

Some of you many have heard of Creatine supplementation, some of you may have tried it, some of you may have never even heard of it. So what is Creatine? What are its benefits? And should you be taking it?

What is Creatine: Creatine is a natural substance found in your muscles and brain that helps your body produce energy—especially during short bursts of intense activity like lifting weights or sprinting.

What are the benefits of Creatine supplements:
Increased Strength and Power, enabling you to lifting heavier weights.
Increased Muscle growth via improved performance, heavier weights achieved and water retention in your muscles.
Faster Exercise recovery between sessions, therefore you can train more often and reach your health & fitness goals quicker.
Enhanced brain function, helpful during menopause brain fog and busy minds.

So should you be taking it???
Well Creatine is one of the few supplements that actually does what it says.

For most healthy people, creatine is considered safe when taken in normal doses (around 3–5 grams per day).
Creatine definitely worth taking it if you:

* Lift weights or do resistance training regularly
* Play sports with bursts of effort (football, rugby, sprinting)
* Want to build muscle or get stronger

It’s currently one of the most researched supplements on the market so give it a try.

This is the one that I currently take and I have noticed the benefits 💪 and no adverse side effects 😜.

Three Peaks ⛰️ Adventures!

Well having signed up for this challenge last year, the day finally came for me & my partner in crime Angela Watson to run the Three Peaks (known as the marathon with mountains).

1000 runners started & only 500 finished….. I am more than proud to say that me & Ange completed the Three Peaks challenge in 5h 20mins…finishing in 60th 61st place over all. Ange definitely kept me going, alongside some pain relief but I also realised that your mind set is key! Your mind will keep you going even when your body feels like it is literally breaking which mine definitely did!

This is something we all need to do when training, if you tell yourself you CAN DO IT & BELIVE IN YOURSELF then you will succeed 🙌

STRONG MIND = STRONG 💪 BODY!

GOLD STAR ⭐️

Today I was training beside one of our clients Justine and she absolutely smashed her personal best on the treadmill 🙌!! Having only ran continuously for 6:30mins today she flew along and achieved more than double her previous best…….she ran 14 minutes non stop!! And to be honestly I think she had even more left in the tank, but I feel she is saving that for next time 😜. Very well done Justine!

Consistency + Focus + determination = BIG RESULTS!

Sweating enough?!? Drinking enough?!?

Hydration and sweat production are crucial factors during exercise, as they both play a major role in regulating body temperature and maintaining optimal performance.

Sweating is your body’s way of cooling itself, but the amount of sweat you produce depends on several factors:

Exercise intensity and duration: The harder or longer you exercise, the more heat your body generates.

Environmental conditions: Hot and humid weather increases the need for sweating to regulate body temperature.

Fitness level: Fit individuals tend to sweat more efficiently because their bodies are better at thermoregulation.

So you have done the sweating 🥵 now you need to do the next important part…..
HYDRATE!

Hydration:

When you exercise, your muscles produce heat, and your body works to cool itself through sweating and increased blood circulation. Dehydration can negatively impact your performance, endurance, and recovery.

Replacing fluid loss during and after your exercise sessions are vital….but when you sweat you don’t just lose fluid, you lose electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium. These are crucial for muscle function and nerve signaling. Replacing these lost electrolytes, especially during intense or long-duration exercise, can help prevent cramps and muscle fatigue.

SO REMEMBER: Electrolytes 💦💪

And even more squatting for golden eggs

06/04/2026

More squatting ……

06/04/2026

EASTER SQUAT! Will give you lots of golden eggs 🥳

Squatting is one of the most effective full-body exercises you can do. It’s not just for legs—it impacts strength, mobility, and even overall health.

Here’s the golden eggs:

1. Builds lower body strength
Squats target your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves. They’re one of the best exercises for developing powerful legs.

2. Strengthens your core
To stay stable during a squat, your abs and lower back engage heavily.

3. Improves mobility and flexibility
Squats help open up your hips, ankles, and knees, which can reduce stiffness and improve movement in daily life.

4. Boosts functional fitness
Squatting mimics everyday movements like sitting, standing, lifting, and bending—so it makes daily activities easier and safer.

5. Supports joint health
When done with proper form, squats strengthen the muscles around your joints, helping protect knees and hips.

6. Burns calories and aids fat loss
Because squats use large muscle groups, they increase energy expenditure and can support weight loss.

7. Enhances athletic performance
They improve power, speed, and balance—useful for sports like running, jumping, and lifting.

8. Can improve bone density
Weight-bearing exercises like squats help maintain and build stronger bones over time.

So let’s get squatting! Make sure this movement becomes part of your regular exercise routine. There are loads of variations so doesn’t matter if you are a beginner or advance there is a squat for everyone 🙌💪

Easter means CHOCOLATE EGGS! And probably lots of family gatherings with even more tasty but unfortunately probably calorific foods. So In-between all that please make sure your other meals are nutrient dense and filling…otherwise you’re likely to fall into the trap of overeating on the bad stuff. A great balanced and nutritious meal is the good old jacket potato with a healthy choice of topping, cottage cheese, tuna, grated cheese, beans…..what’s your top filling? Here are my top favs:

So after a rough start to the year (to say the least) I decide to still compete in Hyrox London. Today was a solo event for me which was a new scary experienceI. On the train down I listen to something that I actually used in the race….”The cookie 🍪 Jar! No I didn’t race with an actual cookie Jar, but one in my mind that when things got tough I could dip into, pull out a cookie which would enable me to push on through. We all have a cookie jar and we can all do more than we think we can do. So next time you’re training, exercising or even competing remember you too have a cookie jar and can tap into it. Believe in yourself and your body will too 💪🙌
