As a complementary therapy, EXERCISE can increase the release of dopamine in the body and help manage both motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s.

is effective in managing a number of Parkinson’s related symptoms and can improve patients QUALITY OF LIFE! 🙌🏼💪🏼☺️

Parkinson’s disease is the second most common age-related neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer’s disease. An estimated seven to 10 million people worldwide have Parkinson’s disease.

In the last 5 years I have had the privilege of working with individuals who have Parkinson’s and have seen the incredible impact that structure exercise programs can have, not only on strength, balance and cognition but most importantly on quality of life.

While I often say the best type of exercise is the kind that you ENJOY and are most likely to DO, there are specific evidence guidelines that detail the most effective exercise for managing and treating type II diabetes.

For those at risk of developing Type II diabetes INCREASING physical activity is a KEY strategy. Participating in more physical activity assists in the PREVENTION and management of Type II diabetes by treating associated glucose, lipid, BP control abnormalities. 💪🏻🙌🏼🙏🏼

It is IMPORTANT to remember that medications for Type II diabetes should augment lifestyle improvements, NOT replace them. ⛹🏽🚴🏼‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️🏌🏽‍♀️🏋🏾‍♀️🤸🏽‍♂️
