Wisconsin Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice

Wisconsin Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice An former affiliate of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice = People of Faith dedicated towards working for Reproductive Justice.

The Wisconsin Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice is the only interfaith coalition speaking for the pro-choice majority in Wisconsin. In a nation founded on religious freedom, we protect the right of individuals to follow their own religious belief in making reproductive health decisions. As a faith-based coalition, we are respected for our theological guidance on reproductive health issues and for our moral authority. When religious extremists claim to speak for all people of faith, we are there to prove them wrong. We seek a society that values human life and human dignity, and honors individual conscience. We know that comprehensive sexuality education, affordable family planning, and high quality, accessible medical care are key to achieving reproductive justice.

Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, ruling that there is no individual right to sue under Medicaid — in this case, not allowing Planned Parenthood to sue South Carolina for blocking it from serving Medicaid ...

Some good news from Missouri - Abortions are set to resume in Missouri after a judge blocked regulations that had restricted providers even after voters approved enshrining abortion rights into the state’s constitution.

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Abortions are set to resume in Missouri after a judge blocked regulations that had restricted providers even after voters approved enshrining abortion rights into the state’s constitution. Friday's ruling came after a Kansas City judge ruled last year that abortions were now...

Tech companies must be required to act to safeguard Americans’ online information and to prevent the misuse of any type of data that could be used as evidence in pregnancy-related prosecutions

Apps and consumer data could be weaponized to criminalize those seeking, providing, and supporting abortion care, and policymakers and individual Americans should act to protect private reproductive health information.

Today, we are mourning the loss of Amber Nicole Thurman. When Amber sought medical care, doctors delayed providing lifesaving care as Georgia law criminalized the procedure Amber needed. Experts deemed Amber’s death preventable, but this is the result of heartless attacks on our bodies. This is the reality of being a Black woman seeking care in an anti-abortion America.

“We cannot allow Amber’s death to be in vain. It is time for us to take action. We call on every person who believes in the right to safe, accessible healthcare to stand with us. Contact your local representatives and demand they repeal Georgia's abortion ban, which is killing our loved ones.”—Danielle Rodriguez, SisterSong’s Georgia Coordinator

We must Trust Black Women to lead the fight to defeat extremist politicians who oppose bodily autonomy. This November, Black women can’t afford to sit on the sidelines. Our lives depend on electing leaders who champion a Reproductive Justice Agenda so tragedies like the death of Amber Nicole Thurman, and those who have not yet been reported, never happen again. Our condolences and prayers are with Amber’s son, family and loved ones.
