🎯 Condom Use Done Right = Powerful HIV Prevention!

Using a condom the right way, every time is one of the most effective ways to prevent HIV, other STIs, and unintended pregnancy. But it only works when used correctly from start to finish.

🔑 Quick tips for correct condom use:

1️⃣ Check the expiry date and ensure the packet is not damaged.
2️⃣ Open carefully — avoid tearing with teeth or sharp objects.
3️⃣ Pinch the tip of the condom to remove air.
4️⃣ Roll it on before any s*xual contact begins.
5️⃣ Use the entire time during s*x — don’t remove midway.
6️⃣ Hold the base when withdrawing to prevent slipping.
7️⃣ Dispose safely in a bin — never flush it.

💡 Remember: No condom = No protection.
Used correctly and consistently, condoms remain a simple, affordable, and life-saving tool in HIV prevention.

❤️ Protect yourself. Protect your partner. Protect your future.

Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) has transformed what it means to live with HIV. Today, HIV treatment is powerful, effective, and life-saving.
When a person living with HIV takes their treatment consistently, ART can:

🔹 Reduce the amount of HIV in the body (viral load) to very low levels
🔹 Help the immune system stay strong
🔹Prevent HIV from progressing to advanced illness or AIDS
🔹 Allow people living with HIV to live long, healthy lives
🔹Make it possible to reach an undetectable viral load
🔹 Prevent s*xual transmission of HIV when undetectable (U = U — Undetectable = Untransmittable)
🔹Support healthy relationships, including serodiscordant couples
🔹 Allow people living with HIV to have HIV negative babies with proper care
🔹 Make breastfeeding possible in some settings with proper medical support
🔹 Reduce the risk of HIV-related illnesses and infections
🔹Allow people living with HIV to work, study, raise families, and pursue their dreams

HIV treatment is more than medicine. It is hope, protection, and a path to a full life.
Every dose you take is an investment in your health and your future.

Stay consistent, stay committed, and remember that treatment works.
Your life does not stop with HIV. With treatment, life continues — strong, meaningful, and full of possibilities.

SAVE THE DATE: 2026 Pacific HIV Symposium! 📅

HIV is rising across the Pacific, with national outbreaks declared in Fiji and Papua New Guinea. The 2026 Pacific HIV Symposium will convene regional health leaders, clinicians, policymakers and community organisations from across the Pacific, Australia and New Zealand to strengthen prevention, treatment, and care and build a coordinated response to the growing HIV epidemic.

Without decisive regional action, the Pacific risks reversing decades of progress toward eliminating HIV as a public health threat. The 2026 is an essential opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to a coordinated regional response.

Stay tuned for registration information.
