Mara and Kamila thoroughly enjoyed painting this mural as part of their volunteer work at Inanitah.

It was made with yellow clay from the earth, mixed with lime to obtain lighter tones. First, they gathered leaves from plants at Inanitah, along with the characteristic cacao fruits (the four in the center), and arranged them in a mandala-like composition.

Mara y Kamila disfrutaron mucho el proceso de pintar este mural como parte de su voluntariado en Inanitah.

Fue realizado con arcilla amarilla proveniente de la tierra, mezclada con cal para obtener los tonos más claros. Primero buscaron hojas de plantas de Inanitah, junto a los característicos frutos del cacao (los cuatro del centro) y armaron una composición en forma de mandala.

Traditional Nicaraguan Yuca Bread
Farm to Table

This bread is made from pure yuca. The yuca tree produces tubers hat are harvested after about twelve months. Wash, peel, and grate the tubers. Use your hands to mash into a dough. Form it into small balls, and cook on a high heat.

This flatbread has a glycemic index which keeps your body sugar more stable. Top with beans, farm cheese, dressing and cheese for a healthy and hearty meal.
