💜 Creating a Safe Space for Every Client 💜

We want to publicly acknowledge the ways we address domestic violence, both to reassure our community and to encourage other resources to share their own tips and maybe borrow some of ours.

At Heart to Heart, we know that safety isn’t just about physical health, it’s about emotional and relational safety too. That’s why we take intentional steps to support clients who may be experiencing domestic violence.

🛑 We never leave identifying voicemails or messages unless a client has given us permission.
📄 Domestic violence resources are discreetly available in all bathrooms.
🌎 We provide fully translated signage so every client can understand their options.
🖊 Urine tests are marked in a way that allows our staff to speak with one partner privately, if needed.
🎓 All volunteers and staff are trained to recognize warning signs and use appropriate, compassionate screening methods for domestic violence.
🤝 We work closely with trusted domestic violence organizations to ensure every client can access help and protection.

Did you know we don’t have a changing table?! 🍼
We’re hoping to replace our bathroom supply shelf with a dresser or changing table so we can better serve our moms and little ones.

If you have something similar you’re not using, we’d love to give it a new home! We’re happy to sand and paint it if needed. Maximum 33 inch length and 44 inch height.

Today marks six years since our former Nurse, Lisa, completed the very first ultrasound on our machine, and what a journey it’s been! 🤱🏻

Since that day, 196 ultrasounds have been performed at Heart to Heart, more than half of them in just the last two years. That’s 196 families given the chance to see their baby’s heartbeat, 196 moments of connection, and countless lives forever changed.

We are deeply grateful to the Knights of Columbus, whose generous donation made this possible. 💙 Their gift has given us the ability to offer ultrasounds far earlier than many hospitals will, and in some heartbreaking cases, to provide parents the only glimpse of their baby’s short life, offering a priceless moment before their child gains their wings.

We are also uniquely positioned to serve the most vulnerable, including those without insurance, prenatal care, or legal documentation. For many, this is the first, and sometimes only, step toward vital care and support.

We currently have three incredible nurses who volunteer their time and hearts with us. Pictured is Nurse Jenee, who completed two more ultrasounds today. 💕

👕 We’re running low on some of our most-used items! Can you help?

As our families grow, so does the need for basic essentials—and right now, we're especially in need of items for toddlers and growing littles. If you're a parent or grandparent doing some summer cleaning, please consider checking your closets for any of the following:

🧦 Most Needed Items:
• Clothes sizes 18 months – 4T
• Training pants
• 2T–4T underwear
• 12mo–4T socks
• Boppy pillows, baby swings, bouncers
• Cribs, crib mattresses, potty chairs
• Crib sheets, sippy cups

Whether gently used or new, these items make a big difference for the families we serve. 💛
