MSN Pharmacy Group is supporting the NHS Spring COVID-19 vaccination programme by providing vaccinations across our community pharmacy network.

Our trained pharmacy teams provide Spring COVID-19 vaccinations in a safe and professional environment, helping patients stay protected while supporting wider public health efforts.

We want to let our customers know that we have experienced a major water leak at Pontesbury Pharmacy, which has unfortunately caused some damage to stock and equipment.

Important Patient Update: Meningitis

MSN Pharmacy Group is aware of the ongoing meningitis outbreak in Kent, particularly affecting young people.

Children born after 1st September 2015 will have been offered the meningitis B (MenB) vaccine as part of the UK immunisation schedule.

The meningitis ACWY vaccine is routinely offered to children in Year 9.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) is actively working to contain the outbreak and is offering prophylaxis antibiotics to close contacts of confirmed cases. At present, no new guidance has been issued regarding access to the meningitis B (MenB) vaccine for the wider public.

There are currently no plans to offer the MenB vaccine on the NHS outside of the routine infant immunisation schedule.

Symptoms of meningitis can include:

• Fever
• Severe headache
• Neck stiffness
• Sensitivity to light
• Vomiting
• A rash that does not fade when pressed

MSN Pharmacy Group’s Bishop’s Castle Pharmacy will be undergoing a refit during week commencing 16th March, to improve the pharmacy for our patients and community.

The pharmacy will remain open as normal, however there may occasionally be some delays or minor disruption while the work is taking place.
