This is a VERY special moment for me. My first full retreat collaboration with my wife, Ali has just sold out.
The retreats are something very special for us, me pouring my love into them with the music I chose, the agenda and the sessions I feel fit perfectly together and Ali designing the food menu and baking every single thing we eat on the day from scratch.
There will definitely be more of these going forwards, it’s something we both love to do and we hope is a special blend of each of our unique energies.

About Unwind Retreats

When was the last time you felt fully rested?
Or had a whole day just for yourself without anything on the to do list?
That’s what this full day of complete relaxation is for.

A full day away from the demands of life, held at the beautiful Green Door Centre in Bosham. With access to its quiet gardens, you’ll be free to stroll, pause, and simply enjoy some you time.
You’ll be guided through calming breathwork and grounding somatic practices. There’ll be reiki healing and gentle movement with silent disco headphones as you wander the grounds (feel free to just walk, dance, sit or whatever feels good for you)
Homemade food, lovingly prepared by Ali, will nourish you through the day with a welcome snack on arrival and a wholesome lunch at midday.

Feeling stressed, anxious, or weighed down by tension?
Join me for Release Breathwork – an evening of breathwork and somatic movement designed to help your body let go of what it’s been holding on to.

Through a guided breathing technique, we’ll calm the busy part of the brain that fuels constant chatter — the “who you are” and “what others think” thoughts.

When that quiets down, the body finally has space to release the stress, tension, and even old trauma stored beneath the surface without you needing to analyse or relive it.

This practice is especially supportive if you:
✔️ Often feel anxious or on edge

A quick vagus nerve reset you can do anywhere to help your gut (and your stress levels) calm down.

If you’ve got IBS that flares every time you’re stressed, it can be incredibly debilatating.
Your gut and your nervous system are directly connected via the vagus nerve so when you’re in a high-alert state for too long, digestion takes a back seat, and symptoms flare.
That’s why, when I was dealing with chronic IBS, I stopped looking for fixes in food alone and started focusing on calming my nervous system.

One of the simplest ways to start is with a side gaze to stimulate the vagus nerve.
You can do it at your desk, on the sofa, anywhere:

1️⃣ Sit back, feet on the floor.
2️⃣ Keeping your head still, gently move your eyes to one side
3️⃣ Hold until you notice a subtle sign of relaxation: a swallow, a yawn, a sigh, tummy gurgle, or an easing in your body.
4️⃣ Bring your gaze back to centre, then repeat on the other side.

The more you do this, the faster your body learns how to move between “aroused” and “rested” states — the sign of a flexible, healthy nervous system. It’s one of the exact micro-practices I used to overcome my own IBS.
