Another trip around the sun and filled with blessings. đ âď¸ đ
But hereâs the truth...
I donât get to show up at my best by accident, I have to choose it. Every day.
Turning 51 today isnât about chasing youth, itâs about the lessons, sharing my story and leveraging wisdom, discipline, and responsibility to show up as the best version of me for the people and purpose I love and care about most.
At the core of that responsibility? My health.
If we lose our health, all other goals - the business, your leadership impact, your legacy, all take a back seat. Nothing else matters as much as being healthy and at your best in every moment you are given - showing up fully.
Hereâs what the data tells us about health for women in midlife:
⢠A significant portion of adults 50+ report little to no physical activity.
⢠As many as about 28% get no exercise outside daily life. Spending time in nature is essential for vitality.
⢠That lack of movement correlates strongly with chronic disease and diminished quality of life.
⢠Only a small minority of women in their 50s meet both aerobic, flexibility and strength training guidelines . Strength and flexibility training becomes critical as we age.
Health isnât a side project - itâs the foundation.
Itâs never too late to commit, reinforce, and re-commit.
So thatâs my promise this year and every year: I choose movement, strength, and well-being. Challenging myself daily. Not because itâs easy, not because I feel like it every day, but because itâs essential.
How are you challenging yourself to show up at your best every day this year?
