๐ŸŒท Dhanwantari Jayanti, the birthday of Lord Dhanwantari is celebrated on the 13th lunar day in Aswini Month.
๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธThe day is also known as Dhantrayodashi or Dhanwantari Triodasi.
๐Ÿ”ฅDhanu referred to in the word Dhanwantari symbolizes sorrows and Dhanwantari means destroyer of sorrows.
๐Ÿฉบ He appears in the Vedas and Puranas as the physician of the gods and the god of Ayurvedic medicine.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Lord Dhanvantri is believed to have appeared during the Churning of the Ocean or Samudra Manthan by Devas (demigods) and Asuras (demons). He was among the numerous auspicious items that appeared during the Churning of Ocean. Dhanvanthari appeared with elixir or Amruta.
He appeared to eradicate diseases threatening living beings and for their well being.
