Exercise should be fun, inspiring, and energising — something that gets your endorphins flowing while also leaving you with a sense of calm and happiness. To achieve that, you need a space that truly ticks all the boxes.
It might be outdoors, surrounded by nature — listening to birds singing or waves rolling onto the shore. Or it might be indoors, in a calm and uplifting environment.
At The Swedish Pilates Studio, you’ll find exactly that.
A space designed to feel peaceful and welcoming, while still offering the right level of challenge to inspire you, make movement enjoyable, and get those endorphins flowing.
Welcome to The Swedish Pilates Studio — your calm, happy place to move, strengthen, and feel good.

Happy Monday
Adding a ball to a single-leg lower increases the stretch through the hamstrings and challenges you to achieve a full lift using your transverse abdominals.
Slow it down, stay controlled, and feel every part of the movement🙂

Smile and enjoy the weekend
Move your body—whether it’s a refreshing run or a slow walk along the beach. Let the fresh air clear your mind and reset your energy.
Eat something delicious—why not cook something amazing at home and enjoy it with friends or family?
Balance a bit of fitness, a bit of calm, and a bit of indulgence.
That’s a weekend well spent.

We have two exercises that we will always do in our classes, Pilates 100rd and plank. They both strengthen the core, with the plank working the core but also the whole body
Pilates 100 primarily targets:
Deep core muscles (especially the transverse abdominis)
Breathing control and endurance
Coordination between breath and movement
Plank works:
The entire core (front, sides, and deep stabilizers)
Shoulders, arms, and glutes
Overall body stability and posture
So together, you’re covering both core endurance (Pilates 100) and full-body stability (plank). One is more dynamic and breath-focused, while the other is static and strength-focused.
