I am a Marriage & Family Therapist practicing in private practice in Hamburg, Germany, in the beautiful neighborhood of Ottensen. If you need to reach out, and don’t have the words, take these —these words— and gift them to the one you love, the one that you share life with.

Remind them that your love is there.

Don’t let “not knowing how” stop you from nurturing the emotional connection that matters the most.

You want to make up after an argument and don’t know how?

Send a video bubble,
Let yourself say whatever you feel, no script and no roadmap.
You have 60 seconds.

When it stops, watch it back
(and again if needed).

Do you like how you sound?
How you look?
Your tone of voice?
Would YOU feel connected to you if you received this video bubble?

If something feels off, give yourself another try.

Sometimes we need to get creative to find our way back into connection.

Steal this idea, and make it yours.

With love,
Tania, a couples therapist who does this after every fight

Repair,
slowing down,
emotional safety, and
not bypassing pain;

It’s a journey,
one that doesn’t end but rather arrives into a place of gentleness,
where you will find yourself accepting the struggles
and embracing your efforts.

Life is not measured by dates in the calendar
but by how you nurture the seeds of connection with those who you love.

Real change goes unfinished,
because the journey never ends.

A few days ago it was my birthday and we had Mexican food — and my husband (great intentions, disastrous outcome) decided to gift the leftovers to a German friend 😮‍💨😫

Any Mexican living abroad knows:
this is an absolute no-go.

The outcome of my emotional rant?
He promised never, ever, ever to do this again in this lifetime 😅

But what really matters is this:
we didn’t get into a fight.

Why?
Because the way I shared what I felt softened the moment and allowed both of us to process instead of react.

Soft communication creates space for connection — even over tacos.

And yes… these bubble videos?
Highly recommend using them in your relationship conversations.

This is a little trial reel — not my usual therapist content — so if you enjoyed it, I’d love to hear that 🤍

Being able to repair and reconnect means…
being intentional about listening to each other’s point of view.

asking clarifying questions like,
“Did I understand you correctly?”

taking ownership of your part:
“I’m sorry I was defensive.”
“I didn’t mean to criticize you.”
“I was out of line.”

showing interest in each other’s emotional world:
“I really want to understand how you feel.”

Relationships that thrive through struggle are the ones that don’t leave emotional wounds unattended.

Does this sound like the kind of relationship you want to grow into?

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is the kind of work we practice inside the Sensitive Couples Club — learning how to come back to each other with care when it matters most.

SAVE this if repair is something you want to get better at.

I couldn’t load all 25 slides!! COMMENT “2025” to get them the list 💗

Emotional connection isn’t built through perfect communication;
it’s built through small moments of safety, empathy, and reaching.

These are simple phrases you can use when you want to soften, repair,
or feel closer to your partner but don’t know where to start.

If your heart is open but your words get stuck,
this list was made for you.

When we let go of our protective mechanisms,
When we strip down our emotional world,
and lay bare our vulnerability.

This is where we can say what we don’t dare before,

“I hurt,
and in my hurt,
I hurt you too.”

Awareness and curiosity are the ways to retire your relationship story.

If you want support practicing this, you’re welcome inside the Sensitive Couples Club.

The space where you and your partner learn to recognize what you each bring to your relationship that keeps you stuck in disconnection, how you can nurture understanding and compassion, and cultivate change with empathy for each other’s emotional needs.

A space where we move from insight to support.
