Ways to empower your birth 💪🏿

✅ build a supportive birth team:
-surround yourself with people who support and affirm your choices, your team should celebrate you!!

✅make a birth plan but be flexible!:
-it’s important to know your desires before you give birth. What does the atmosphere look/feel/smell like? Who is in the room? Is there music playing? What are interventions do wish to avoid if possible? It’s important to have something similar to a foundation that your providers can refer to

! It’s also important to be flexible, as birth follows its own flow !

It is best to know your desires and needs in this autonomous space

✅connect with your body through movement:
- as your baby moves through your birth canal, your body can help guide this process

Imagine wave like spinal movements amidst the waves of contractions, you can support your body deeply through movement.

✅visualize your dream birth:
- create a positive mindset about your birth no matter what stories you’ve heard or experienced. Letting go of fear and falling deeply into the trust of your body releases any potential blocks that can come up during labor.

✅ listen to your body during birth:
-the body knows how to birth, your ancestral mothers have birthed their babies and you will do the same. Trust I. Your body and listen to the wisdom she speaks of ✨.

All the tools you need are already inside of you

Anything else outside of you a reflection of the power that’s already inside

When you trust your body, therefore, relaxing and tap into your breath, you surrender to the waves of birth ✨

Midwifery is all about nurturing a woman and her family in an intimate 1-on-1 space.

As providers, we believed that birth is sacred and deserve the highest authority of respect.
