Inspiring Sister Nonprofit!!!!!
This last week we received some amazing news.
Four people we used to meet weekly on outreach are now in treatment.
I ran into three of them, and hearing them say they are choosing to stay — that they are fighting for themselves — was such a powerful moment. To know that our weekly presence out there mattered… that it made an impact… that’s everything.
The fourth is a woman we met every single week for years. She called to tell us she’s been in treatment for a week and she loves it. Her tone was different. Her happiness was different. Her mindset was different. You could hear hope in her voice.
What we do matters.
We don’t just meet people during outreach. We walk with them after. We support them in treatment. We remind them they can make it through that first week and stay — when the negative self-talk gets loud and the urge to leave feels strong.
We know some people leave during that first week. That’s why we stay connected. That’s why we show up. That’s why we remind them it’s possible.
This is why Soap2Hope exists.
