🥭 From mangoes to 🍅 tomatoes to squash — the Caribbean is full of flavor and variety of each fruit and/or vegetable!
Each variety brings its own taste and texture. So don’t get stuck on the same foods or variety of fruits and/or vegetables — mix things up, keep your meals fun, and let your taste buds explore while you nourish your body. 🌿✨

🐎 “All horses are not meant to run alike.”
In health, that’s a reminder not to compare your journey to anyone else’s.

✅ Your friend’s 5AM workouts? Might not be your lane.
✅ Their weight loss plan? Might not fit your body.
✅ Their pace? Not your pace.

Your body has its own rhythm, needs, and stride. Honor it. Run your race, not someone else’s. 🌱✨

🚿 In the Caribbean, many of us bathe twice a day — morning to feel fresh, evening to wash off the day. But our inside needs that same refresh too.
💧 9 cups of water for women, 13 for men = an internal bath for your organs.
🍉 Hydrating foods like watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes & coconut water add even more refreshment.
🧘🏾‍♀️ And don’t forget a “mental rinse” — a few minutes of deep breathing or quiet time can reset your mind like an evening bath resets your body. Stay fresh inside and out. 🌴✨

“Cockroach 🪳don’t go to fowl’s 🐓dance.” In other words — don’t put yourself in situations that set you up to fail.
⚠️ Buffets when you’re working on portion control.
⚠️ Late-night scrolling when you know you need sleep.
⚠️ Habits and spaces that tear down your health goals.

The good news? You’re in control. Choose the environments and routines that build you up. Because walking into the wrong “dance” won’t end well. 🪳➡️🐓

🌊 In the Caribbean, coral reefs are our first line of defense — protecting our shores and housing life beneath the waves. But when they’re damaged by pollution or chemicals, the whole ecosystem suffers.
Your body is no different. Too much processed food, red meat, and added sugar act like “pollution,” wearing down the systems that protect your health. 🚫🍭🥩
Whole foods? They’re your reef-safe treatment. 🥦🍊🌱 Nourish your body the way reefs need clean seas — and you’ll stay strong, balanced, and thriving.
Take care of your body like we take care of our reefs. Both are worth protecting. 💙

💧🔥 “Dirty water can put out fire.”
Even small, imperfect steps can move you closer to your health goals.
🚶🏾♀️ A 10-minute walk still counts.
🥦 One extra veggie a day adds up.
🚰 Swapping soda for water makes a difference.
It’s not about perfection — it’s about progress. Start where you are, with what you have. Every step matters. 🌱✨

🥑🐟 In the Caribbean, we know good food — but not all fats are created equal.
✅ Good fats (salmon, mackerel, walnuts, flaxseed, avocado) keep your brain sharp, your heart steady, and your skin glowing.
⚠️ Bad fats (fried chicken skin, heavy butter, creamy ice cream) weigh you down.
🚫 Ugly fats (trans fats in margarine, packaged snacks, frozen junk) are banned for a reason.
So fix your plate with the good ones. Make fats your ally, not your enemy. 💪💚

🐕✨ “Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas.” In the Virgin Islands, we grew up hearing this saying — a reminder that the company you keep (and the choices you make) will always leave their mark. The same goes for your plate. If you keep reaching for sodas, chips, and late-night snacks, you’ll wake up with “fleas” like low energy, weight gain, and health problems you don’t need. 🐜 But when you choose better company — fruits, veggies, whole grains, and other whole foods — you rise up feeling lighter, stronger, and ready to take on the day. 💪🌱

Choose wisely. Your body is listening.
