This was the beginnings of Beautiful Beginnings Birth and Postpartum Doula Service from 1993. We were the first DONA trained doulas in San Diego, and Stacey and Rosemary went on to become doula trainers! It was a great career, loved living our passion to help birthing families, and loved making changes in the birth world. We are all retired now, so I have been going through photos from my many doula trainings over 20+ years, trainings in 6 different states! With Cathie Aymar, Rosemary Mason, and Stacie Hoffman.

Hello doulas! I do hope you plan on renewing with our group. I am still working on getting higher SEO and I will need your help in two ways: One, I have requested membership renewal by today. I know it is a big day for many of you with the inauguration, so in the spirit of moving forward in kindness and support, I am giving you until the end of the week to send the payment in via Venmo or by check.
And, I need YOU to promote BB also. the more you ladies can post on FB, Instagram, Yelp, etc. the more clicks we get. Add tags to your posts for as much as you can. I want you to be successful, to get more clicks to the website so that people find you, but it has always been a TEAM effort-I can not do this alone, so please spend some time promoting, talking, tagging, etc. so we can keep this engine rolling. Thank you!

I heard some excellent suggestions on the radio this morning from a Holistic nutritionist for enhancing our immune systems. Here are some things she suggested: a cold shower (as it stimulates the respiratory system), also drinking warm bone broth which is very good for the digestive system, and lots of Vitamin D. You can still be outside enjoying the beautiful sun, and or take supplements if you are somewhere that isn't as sunny. Walking and enjoying the scenery around you helps keep you fit and helps with keeping off the weight. And finally, somehow find a way to share a hug, as that stimulates our serotonin, endorphins and oxytocin- all helpful hormones.
