Happy International Day of the Midwife to all my midwife friends and lovers and supporters of the profession! Being and becoming a midwife is a huge step in someone's life. It needs a calling and a dedication.
Thank you to all the traditional midwives who were/are the matriarch of their communities and whose knowledge was taken from and were neglected. You continue serving your community through so many challenges. You are a symbol of respectful maternity care!

Thank you to all the midwives who cry with their clients through happiness and sadness!
Thank you to all the midwives in war zones sacrificing their lives to save others!

Thank you to all the midwives who are paid less but continue to work and show up everyday with a smile on their faces!

A very long 😔.... I don't even know how this year went by. I decided to gift myself this and I did. Regardless of everything on my way, I'm here. I'm done. This is so nice! Taking care of the baby is not only the mother's job. It's a team work and both mom and dad need a parental leave.
